I think it's a really nice brush set, I'm really liking it a lot, haven't had any problems with the brushes being too stiff or shedding or anything like that.
Do they feel as soft as the full size brushes? I've read some reviews that say they're a bit scratchy and the brush head sizes aren't the same as full size so the application is different?

Sorry to quote myself, just haven't seen any replies and definitely need opinions before purchasing!
I bought the pink set! It's is more of a peachy pink than a straight up Barbie pink. They are SE... But I really love the set. For me, the 168se is a perfect highlighting brush for those products that are really pigmented. I love 167s... SE OR SH but since its not as dense I like using them for something along the lines of Guerlain pearls etc.. The other three I could take or leave, but its nice having compact brushes. I also really like the bag... So I could justify the cost. But it depends on what you are looking for, yknow? Also, the brushes seem softer than last years G&I set. But again, it's still $50 here in US so its not something I would buy if you only like one brush or just the case.

Def not as full or soft. However my 167se from this collection is VERY soft and comparable to the SH version I purchase with Hey Sailor. Since they are not as full, yeah, different application.. Also different uses for them entirely.

Could you go more indepth on the uses? I'm interested mainly in the 168, 239, 217 and 212. I'd like to have the extra eye brushes as I'm still building up my collection but I'd use the 168 for blush perhaps?

Sorry about all the questions, but £40 while it's a good deal on the brushes, I still need to justify the purchase big time.

I use the 168 SH for blush and I love it :) Also the regular 239 is my go to e/s brush!

Yeah the regular 239 is mine too, but didn't know how this one compared, I also use the 217 often too which is why I like the set but I just wanna be 100% sure the set is worth the price, I've never bought an LE set before.

I don't know if my two cents will be worth much

since I only have two full size brushes (one of them being the 217), but I quite like the set. My 217SE performs just as well as the full-size version, and the 167 was perfect for blush. I used the other brushes as well; I hardly ever use shadow as an eye liner, but ended up using the 212SE with NARS Coconut Grove and was impressed at how much I liked the finished look. I was able to use the other brushes as well, and took a couple extras in the case.

That's awesome, thanks - and honestly your two cents is worthy whether you have 2 full sized brushes or 20. Every opinion helps. Did the full size brushes fit in the case? That'd be awesome for me for travelling if so.

Yes, full size brushes fit in the case easily. The case is actually quite long and fits my longest brush: Sigma P88. I don't think it's the best for big, fluffy powder brushes, but I was able to carry the brushes in the kit. Actually, if you move the brushes it comes with into the snapped side of the case, you could fit bigger brushes in the side without the snap. I am actually really happy with how the big the case is, because before that I didn't really have anything to take them in besides a Ziploc baggie. :)

i used it when i applied Small Vanity today and it worked a treat. i'm super pale and Small Vanity is far darker than my average blush so i had no other choice really.

let me know what you think of it when you receive it :)
I got my shipping confirmation which indicates it will arrive on Tuesday. I'll first wash and condition it, as I do all of my new brushes, and hopefully test drive it on Wednesday. I'm excited to get it!

I have a significant collection of full size, SE & LE brushes. Application should not differ if the technique employed is the same. I'm a total amateur and I do just fine with all three iterations of the brushes. In a side by side comparison of the 129, 129SE & 129LE, there are noticeable differences; the shape of the 129 & 129SH is the same and they are softer than the LE. The 129LE is not as dense and the shape is slightly different but the size (head, not handle) is the same as the 129 & the 129SH. I find that daily washing and conditioning have kept all of my brushes in good form.

Well, I bit the bullet and got the full size 239, 217, 266, and 129 plus Satin Taupe as I didn't have it. They are very nice brushes and I am happy to have them.

Thanks! Of course I now want Naked Lunch lol. There's more brushes I plan on getting soon too just have to space out hauls lol.
I have Naked Lunch; I love light neutrals for brightening. It doesn't hold a candle to A Natural Flirt though; that's really one of my HG shades.
