When I got my Dec/Jan issue of Seventeen, I saw the MAC makeover advertising Innocence l/s, Divine Blue EDES, and I'm The One Blush. I need to use Divine Blue to see what I can come up with.
i just got satin taupe too. i like it, i thought that it was going to be similar to moth brown but it isnt. is really brownish, where as MB pull more gray and purple on me. Enjoy the brushes too. its better to save money to get mac brushes than to buy dozens of others that wont be as good as them.Well, I bit the bullet and got the full size 239, 217, 266, and 129 plus Satin Taupe as I didn't have it. They are very nice brushes and I am happy to have them.

me too. thanks for the recommendation, i just got the nars e/s primer as well. i hope it works on me.I'm glad you like it!
I have a significant collection of full size, SE & LE brushes. Application should not differ if the technique employed is the same. I'm a total amateur and I do just fine with all three iterations of the brushes. In a side by side comparison of the 129, 129SE & 129LE, there are noticeable differences; the shape of the 129 & 129SH is the same and they are softer than the LE. The 129LE is not as dense and the shape is slightly different but the size (head, not handle) is the same as the 129 & the 129SH. I find that daily washing and conditioning have kept all of my brushes in good form.
239 - best packing brush ever. I've tried ELF and Sigma and while both work, neither compare to MAC. I want 5 of them.Well, I bit the bullet and got the full size 239, 217, 266, and 129 plus Satin Taupe as I didn't have it. They are very nice brushes and I am happy to have them.
You can also check out the 263 instead of the 266, but it's a freestanding store exclusive. I got that one instead of the 266, because I wasn't that great with liner and it was smaller and I figured I could be more precise. I also believe the MUA that helped me that day said the 266 bristles can splay out (is that how you say it?) quicker than the 263.That's great, thank you so much!
Thank you so much for repeating yourself, apologies for missing your first post! I've been bad and asked for it as another Christmas present.
If I don't get it, then I can probably end up getting it at a later date as I suspect they won't sell out. Touching wood for saying that though 'cause it'd be just my luck. I've already got the 219 coming my way and I'll end up re-purchasing the 239, 217, 219 and probably the 266 (love for brows, want a 2nd for liner maybe if I figure out how to line!) again myself anyway. I also need to get my hands on a 224 as I haven't done so yet and then move on to the face brushes, which I'm mainly interested in the 168 is it?
Oh really? That's awesome, thanks. Yep, splay out is correct! I think I'll probably try all the brushes I have for eyeliner first before I buy one specifically for it. I find if I touch my eyelashes, especially on the inner corner in a certain way, I uncontrollably blink and it ruins it. I need to figure out how to do it without that problem. Funnily enough, I could do pencil liner on the top lid no problem when I was like 13 - but now I can't do any top liner without it ruining my make-up. If I practice it just on bare eyes I sometimes get it, but when I go to do it on top of eye shadow when I'm getting ready it turns out horrible so I usually just tightline. You can also check out the 263 instead of the 266, but it's a freestanding store exclusive. I'm in the same boat, it has become my go to lippie I love it I'm actually half way through my first tube which is amazing for me it takes me almost a few months to do that with other lippies but Glamourdaze is just beautiful for everyday or for a gorgeous dramatic eye with a soft lip.Since purchasing my small GlamourDaze haul I have not been able to put down Glamourdaze lipstick and Small Vanity Blush. It is a beautiful look for work on my NC50/ NW43 skin tone.
No it's Charcoal Brown in the crease, I bet it would be beautiful with Chocolate Brown too!Dang, that looks so purty you just reawakened my lemming for Orpheus again but trying so hard not to do a 2nd order. Are you referring to Chocolate Brown pigment in the crease? That has got to be one of my fave piggies of all time (up there with Museum Bronze). Gorgeous (and I am so going to copy that)
Nice set of brushes. I got my CP of the 179 brush from OhSoJaded. I don't know how I'm going to use it yet, but I'm glad that I have it. It's an awesome buffer brush that you can use pretty much the way you use your 182, except the shape of the 179 allows you to buff your contour/blush more precisely. You'll play with it and find the most pragmatic utilization for yourself. Barring that, it's just darn cool to look at! ...."spunky", as you put it.Nice set of brushes. It grows on you right? I've also found it supper easy to wear in terms of 'a look'. I've worn it with a soft gray eye but I'd like to try it with a dramatic eye as you suggest.I'm in the same boat, it has become my go to lippie I love it I'm actually half way through my first tube which is amazing for me it takes me almost a few months to do that with other lippies but Glamourdaze is just beautiful for everyday or for a gorgeous dramatic eye with a soft lip.
