I was under that impression too, based on the number of people who seem to have it. Then again, I also thought Naked Paris was a solid seller and that one's getting the axe as well.

Sometime, I'd love to see a list of the top ten selling Mac items in each category. I realise they'd probably all be neutrals, but it would be interesting to see what else slipped in there.

St. Germain is a tricky colour to wear. I think I haven't yet seen a person who can put it on just by itself and have it looking good (although would love to see one!). It is so harsh on it's own. Many people have it but I would guess it's not a HG material to majority.

I wonder if they are anywhere available?

I don't understand why the Canadian website decide to put the Euristocrats II lipsticks in the Goodbyes section and that's not fair! I thought it was permanent on the website like the US. I've heard so much about Saint Germain lipstick and I do want to try it out.

Are they only being discontinued in Canada or are they starting there?
I don't understand? What about in the US? Saint Germain is so pretty!
But again these were supposed to be initially for Euro/Africa, ect... countries, so who knows?

I'd love to think that the neutral/nude/brownish lip thing is going away, in favor of clearer, more vivid colors!
NOT that I need any more lipsticks ...

I'm really tempted to try St.Germain now, if I don't like it, seeing as it's going to be discontinued, I'm sure somebody would be looking for it, right? ;D

I third the top ten best selling items. I always love to see what everyones favourites are and why.

I'm sure someone would buy it from you if you didn't like it. Many things become very wanted when discontinued.

I have been thinking should I get backups of Artifact and Delft paint pots? My Artifact was a bit dryish when I got it from the counter, so I'm thinking it may not last for years. Then again I don't have backups of any of the LE paint pots either and Artifact is not something I wear everyday. And Delft, mine seems okay for now, but when I run out there's no dark teal base, unless they come up with something new. Delft is just so gorgeous, it's a shame they got rid of it.

The only thing keeping me from buying the backups is the fear of them to dry before I ever get to them. Has anyone here bought a paint pot backup and have it lasted for years good when not opening it?

I stopped by the free-standing store today and asked if the Moisturecover concealer was really getting the ax...and yes, it's true. The MA also said that she thinks they've already stopped restocking it, so once it's gone from the store, it's gone

And yes, I bought back-ups. I only just found this concealer a year ago, so I'm really curious as to what they could possibly come out with to replace it. I read about the Pro Longwear, but I am skeptical that I will like that one. *sigh*

I think you can find another similar base, I bet they will release a GPS or something sometime, unless PPs are the only bases that work for you?

I was so sad to hear Moisturecover is being discontinued. I already bought two backups, I love it as my under eye concealer. I tried the Pro Longwear concealer today but I have a feeling it won't be as good. Maybe I should get couple more when I have a chance...

No, I like other bases as well. Maybe you're right, they propably will bring out something similar every now and then!

I HAAATE it when MAC discontinues items, because those items tend to almost immediately become impossible to find.
However, at least so far, nothing on the list has crushed me, because it's stuff I've never used anyhow.
If MAC were to axe the Dazzleglasses, or Girl About Town, or Zoomlash, I'd be annoyed, but so far, so good.

Yeah, I think I will just go back to Select Cover-up, which is what I'd been using before I found Moisturecover. Just my luck they will discontinue that too.

I know what you mean!
If I didn't love MAC and their products so much, I think I'd have ditched them long ago, just for this tendency of theirs to abruptly discontinue items.
I find it very annoying.

oh no,not moisturecover concealer!I haven't been into MAC for a long time,so I just found out about this discontinued-drama...I'm

right now.I use moisturecover and select cover up on top of it for my under eye area.Moisturecover alone doesn't give me enough coverage and select cover up is waaay to dry to be used alone on my skin. But I was happy with that combination,it worked for me.So I have to get the pro longwear concealer now I guess.I hope it's not that dry.
And Saint Germain was one of my first MAC l/s,I felt like everybody had it and it was a musthave. Can't believe it's discontinued.

I'm really disappointed to see the Cream Color Bases go more than anything else, since I use my Pearl CCB everyday - it's such a staple highlighter for me! I'll definitely be buying some backups before the year is out, though. However, the MAC artists seem to have been using CCBs a lot this Fashion Week, so maybe that's a good sign?
