? I'd love to buy me some Style Black goodies

...

I finally got round to depotting my Love that Look e/s and I've created a quad with Silverthorn (Rose Romanc, but really similar to Fashion imo), One-Off, Strike a Pose and Aquavert. Although the letter will often be substituted with Rated R.

And I completely agree thart Style Snob is one of the prettiest and most versatile eyeshadows ever. My fave combo is SS on the lid, Trax in the crease, Sketch on the outer V and a tiny bit of Amber lights in the tear duct area. To 'upgrade' it for the evening I simply line my upper and lower lash line with Beauty marked (and some Feline

).

They don`t ship make-up internationally. I have family in US and ship my purchases to them. Now only if my credit card would be unlimited

That sounds like a beautiful combo, I have to save it, any eotd?

I recently put together a Starflash version of my "OMG, I just woke up, I needed to be out the door 5 minutes ago, and I can't be rockin the no make-up look today" quad for my favorite no-brainer goes with everything eye looks (I have another version with more matte colors).

The Starflash version includes Unbasic White, Style Snob, Glamour Check and Smoke & Diamonds and I love it! In a rush I usually use Style Snob on the lid, either S&D or Glamour Check in the crease/outer V and UBW to brighten up the inner eye corner...so easy!

On the topic of back-ups, I won't admit to how many I have of Style Snob and UBW.
lol.gif

OMG, except Unbasic White ( which I don't have ) is my exact look for the omg I need to go now!!!
Style Snob is just great, excellent texture (starflash baby!) and very nice colour that goes with everything!! I already have a dent in mine and so glad I got a back up of it, my very first and only back up for an eyeshadow!!!

I don't have Fashion Groupie but when I was testing both shadows out in store they were VERY SIMILAR. So much so that I felt if I get FG I would basically have the exact same shade in different textures. SD is a tad bit cooler than FG but the difference is so minor so unless you're thinking of getting FG for the supreme texture alone..imo you don't need it. If you're hoping the colour to be different than SD which is what you already own please don't get it...I think you'll be disappointed.

I have SD and I remember the colour payoff to be mediocre (I find the shadow to be quite hard so it usually takes me several applications to get the payoff I want) so I've been debating if I should get FG as well. I think what truly helped me decide against getting FG is not the fact that the colour is so similar to SD but because I would usually use a colour like SD & FG in the crease/outer v and only want to work with shadows that are long lasting. My personal experience with the starflash eye shadows is that yes they're buttery smooth but I believe for that very reason, they haven't deliver extremely good lasting power for me. So I much rather go through the hassle of having to apply SD several times than to have easy application with FG and then having the colour fade half way through the day. Mind you I only own 5 starflash shadows from this collection so maybe the lasting power varies between them but Smoke & Diamonds is the only one out of the bunch that doesn't budge.

Btw, I depotted my starflash shadows yesterday and I don't know if I ever want to go through it again!
ssad.gif
The glue they used seems very different than what's used for other shadows. It's yellow.....extremely sticky, extremely difficult to get off and they use a lot more glue for these shadows.
angry.gif
Usually it takes me 2 Q-tips dab with alcohol to get the glue off the pan but for these guys, it took me between 4-6 Q-tips for each of the shadow.

Thank you for your review! I haven't worn my Fashion Groupie yet so I'll pay close attention when I do.

I was going to depot my starflash e/s about a week or 2 ago but haven't gone to get wax paper yet...oh and then my straightener broke down! It's been replaced since, thank God, and Mom!
love.gif
But I chose that method because it was the most convenient for me, tool wise (yet I need one of the tools still
lol.gif
). I hope it works when I'm all set to do this. May I ask which method you used for Starflash e/s? Thank you!

I also recently got Style Snob and I love it. I had Ego, rated R and One Off from before and Smoke n Diamonds, Sunset B. and Top hat from last year. I love all these eyeshadows. My fave is still One Off

Rated R started this chartreusecolourmadness with me (after that I bought bitter, overgrown, sour lemon and lime shadows). Before that I never really thought I could wear and love those yellow/green colours, but my oh my Rater R changed it all! And I'm glad it did, it looks gorgeus and it actually suites me well I think!
smiles.gif
My favorite combo at the moment with RR is Rated R on the lid, Go in the crease, Vanilla for highlighting. Simple but pretty look.

Style Snob is getting lots of love today!! Nordstrom's website has Style Snob and the rest of the Starflash e/s except for Rated "R". When I get paid again, I'm thinking about getting a second backup of Style Snob since I cannot get enough of that gorgeous color. I depotted all 12 of my Starflash palettes and along with it I depotted Off The Page, Femme Fi and Swish until I get Glamour Check, Dreammaker and Grand Entrance. I'm having second thoughts about Ego. Should I get Ego or just skip it?

Yeah please let me know how you find FG to be (staying power wise) when you do use it. I'd be curious to know.
yes.gif

I went for the dangerous method lol. Others use open flame from candles....I took a pair of wooden thongs and put them over my gas stove.
th_LMAO.gif
I couldn't be bothered to get candle or a lighter.

Glad to know I wasn't seeing things!

Actually I remember someone mentioning this too way back when the collection first came out. I just didn't realize the severity. The glue totally wrecked my nails so I had to redo them.

Otherwise I may forget I have it

Oh my goodness woman! That is so scary! Please promise that from now on, if you are going to use the stove, or ANY open flame, please use metal tongs instead of wooden ones!

Boo! That sucks!
ssad.gif
I hope it doesn't make the possibility of breaking an e/s even riskier though. I can't bother with open flame either, at least not yet
lol.gif
, so I want to try my straightener with wax paper lol

I bought Style Snob yesterday. I can't believe I passed it up...it's so pretty! I didn't get it when it first came out b/c it is alot like Satin Taupe, but it's lighter and shimmery...it's something I've been looking for awhile :0)

I wore it today in the inner corner of my eye and Strike A Pose on the outer lid. I blended the two together with Talent Pool and darkened the outer corners with Deep Truth and a matte black. Very pretty. I'll have to make sure I get a backup this week.
