I have both Silverthorn and Fashion and don't find them that similar. I feel Fashion is a tad greener and definitely more unique than Silverthorn.

I got S&D today and it is absolutely gorgeous! Oh and Glamour Check is a perfect dupe for antiqued if anyone was wondering

Ladies & Gents.....I am SO loving One-off and Rated 'R'!! This morning I did the following:

S&D - crease & outer v
Night Manoeuvers (Style Warriors) - to deepen crease
One-off - middle lid
Rated 'R' - next to One-off on inner lid
Ego - inner lid/corner
Unbasic White - tear duct
Soft Force (Style Warriors) - highlight
Jealous liner

It came out beautifully!

I keep reading that Unbasic White is a dupe for White Frost? I already have white frost, should I still get unbasic white? (apart from the texture, is the color difference worth it to get unbasic white?)

This collection is available at my counter today! I came back with One-Off, Fly by Blu and Black Russian. I already have Rave and Smoke & Diamonds. One-Off and Fly by Blu I just bought were manufactured this year but Black Russian was made last March. I wonder if it is a leftover from last year's Suite Array.

The stand outs for me are Strike a Pose, Rated R, Ego and Smoke & Diamonds. The tester for S&D feels much smoother and more pigmented than what I have from Starflash. I really wanted Wondergrass but since I can't get my hands on it, I purchased One-Off. I can't wait to try it with Sharp. Rated R is stunning! Those who do not have a chartreuse colour should get it. I love Ego, but I must resist buying another light, baby pink e/s. Overall, the e/s are very smooth and pigmented, and the MA appropriately described the feeling as "cushiony". IMO Grand Entrance has the worst texture.

The pearlglide eye liners are amazing and I think many of you have already raved about it. They do not smudge on me.

The MA who served me wore Strike a Pose, Rated R, One-Off, Black Russian and Fly by Blu. The look was beautiful!

I went out of my neutral color zone today and bought fashion and strike a pose. The texture of these shadows is amazing. What have you been pairing with fashion and strike a pose? Can't wait to try these out.

I bought it from this collection and don't have a problem at all. It glides on and blends like a dream.

I restrained myself and only got strike a pose and one-off.

I was considering r rated, but i have bitter and sharp and hardly ever reach for them.... so even though his has a way better texture its not worth it. Also, it looked very yellow on me. not enough green.

My poor starflash shadows finally got some love today. I wore unbasic white, smoke & diamonds, and Strik A Pose eye shadows. I love them all but I am over the moon with unbasic white. It is so smooth and pigmented. It is the perfect white shadow!

So I popped by MAC today. I decided to wait it out till August so I could use my $10 coupon at the Bay. My intention was to get the new TM, Unbasic white and fashion groupie. Well... Fashion Groupie was completely sold out at the location I went to, they called another counter and they only had two left!!! Now to put this into perspective, not a whole lot sells out in the first few weeks a collection is launched in Toronto, probably because of the many counters and stores we have. So either they didn't get many of this shade, or it's really popular!

Anyway, I did get unbasic white! Love. I also have to say that I really like Ego, wore it today all on it's own on the lid with some black liner. It's the perfect light pink!

TIA!

I don't own either of these because they don't suit me at all. But... if i were into silvery blues and greys, I'd own both. If I had to choose between the two, I stick with silverthorn.

I have to agree with you on this. I wore it yesterday, probably the first time since they came out last year. It goes on okay, but once on, i don't like the texture and it looks incredibly crepe-y on me. I wear plenty of other frosts and starflash shadows and don't have that issue.

^I was looking forward to getting Grand Entrance e/s but now I'm having second thoughts about it. I now want Unbasic White (thanks a lot Tish!).

Hi all, I have bought qutie a few of the eyeshadows from this collection..
I have to admit, I was totally drawn to Rated R. I tend to stick to the golds and pinks, since they are subtle.. but boy this one is great.
I cover my lid with it, then buff in a nuetral matte like Kid or Arena, in the crease and half the brow. I finish with a lighter gold like Grand Entrance or Honesty.
I LOVE the starflash finish. They are awesome!

If you have any shades even remotely similar to Grand Entrance, don't bother. MAC comes out with the champagne/frosty beige colours all the time. Get Unbasic White instead!

Okay, I like Dream Maker a lot!
It's so pretty.

I walked away with
-2 Black Russians
-Rave
-Dream Maker

I still need to order:
-Smoke and Diamonds, but I'm not sure, I have a whole jar of Sweet Sienna...
-Cheeky Bronze

And I'm sticking to just one Rave, I still have my other one, even though it's been seeing good use. If they have any left when Make Up Art Cosmetics comes out, I'll get another Rave.

My Thoughts:
The eyeshadows are really buttery, plush, and like cushy feeling. Hahaha, very soft and pigmented!
-Ego: a pretty soft pink, but with my tanned skin, it's very white with a pink tinge instead.
-Style Snob: looks really odd on me, I think it's my tanned skin again. It doesn't look anything like Satin Taupe at all to me. It's just a duochromey weird taupe pink color on me, I didn't like it.
-Grand Entrance: Too damn frosty. Wow. I love frost, but this is way too much.
-Dream Maker: a pretty shimmery gold. I don't have a color like this, so I got this.
-One-off: This is very pretty, a true green, but not teal enough for me, and not yellow enough, I don't like how it's neutral, but I agree it's very pretty, I just don't think I'd use it much.
-Strike a Pose: This is really pretty and smooth! But I didn't take it home, I have enough dark blues and I need to use them.
-Unbasic White: Very pretty and soft white, shimmery, I didn't pick it up, I don't use white much, but it would make an excellent tearduct color!
-Smoke and Diamonds: Much LOVE for this color. Buy it today.
-Rated R: golden green color. If I didn't have Sharp, I would've gotten this.
-Glamour Check: I seriously almost got this color, it seems like such a pretty basic color to have. But I was afraid the red in it wouldn't work and I already had make up on, so I couldn't try it. I don't trust swatching red.
-I didn't bother swatching the purple color.
-I forgot to swatch the silver one.

But those are my thoughts on this collection.
