MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

For those curious, "Sweet Heat" and "Superb" are close to each other. When I missed out on "Superb" during its first release, I used "Sweet Heat" and achieved the same finish.

So who has olive toned skin close to nc30? I have never bought a EDMSF and i'm super confused on which to get.  I did get the riri bronzer from this past holiday collection, and I dont know if MA will be similar to that.  Any ideas? 

Im NC30 and both asked Erine for her input and went to the presale at macys.. MA was a bit more like Double definitiion. autoerotique was a bit too pink but when i used fairly precious on top it made it look very pretty. so I got Fairly precious. Superb is very metallic, very pretty and very Holiday. it looked amazing on its own and can be frankenblush any blush on the rose family. i didnt get the riri bronzer so i dont know how it doesnt compare, but i got the riri blush and Pleasure model was similar on my skin, so i passed. At dusk was too light and too similar to other items i had already.. Lipsticks: only color that was a real nude on my skin was Close Contact. Sensual sparks was a tad browner. if you dont want to get the amplified finish, try HoneyLove (perm) hope it helps..

I'm NC 40 and oliveish/yellowish and I bought Superb.

I wanted to get Superb too..even after looking at temptalias swatches..looks like superb is a highlighter/brings minor warmth to the skin.

I spoke with a mac employee in nordstrom and they said I shud get MA instead of superb.

Honey love was my very first lipstick by MAC!!! It was the nude/brown color I wanted. I guess i'll skip out on CC and SS this time..mac releases so many lipsticks all the time..these aren't grabbing my attention that much..I will get MR though..

how different are these extradimension blushes/skinfinishes from the regular blushes that are sold e.g. nars
like what does it bring to the table?

My list as of now is: Fairly Precious Superb Autoerotique Close Contact Overspiced (maybe) A Quite Roar (maybe) 128 Split Cheek brush (because I lost the one I got from the In Extra Dimension collection when I lost my makeup bag, which had all my essential makeup and brushes, while traveling)

The texture is very smooth and melts into the skin. The blushes have a very natural, subtle sheen like skin. The EDSFs range in metallicness, but they're not powdery and don't accentuate pores like more powdery highlighters do. My personal feeling is that these products are nice for everyone, but even better for older skin. If you're younger, you can wear a much wider range of products and textures without any issue, but these do the things that older skin loves, like smoothing out skin texture and not accentuating peach fuzz. If you're younger, you don't necessarily need to spend extra cash on these, unless you love the most subtle and natural style of makeup.

Well i'm getting there. i'm 32. my skin used to be super flawless..never even wore makeup until 2 years ago when I started seeing the effects of aging on my skin.

Thanks for the input on these mac products. I've never bought a EDSF prod. before and always purchased nars. I am hoping I love these for making my pores less visible.
I am thinking of getting FP and Superb..and MR-lipstick.

I am still iffy on instigator from the PC collection...I recently got into dark lips and I am not that used to it yet. still have to use the ones I have more. I mean even Rebel is super dark for me! reds feel wierd on me bc im not used to it! lol

Quick question, I am a nw22. Would FP edsf show up on my cheeks, sort of like a subtle blush. I will wear it with autoerotique but I am curious. I love the color it is on temptalia, a gorgeous peach.
