I still think you should go in and swatch for yourself. It can look different depending on skintone. Bring your restrained if you have one to compare them yourself on your lips

yay! You will love it! I was taking a chance with this but i love it so much now!
I will say that even in the tube they look exactly the same. Try it out to make sure if it will make you feel more comfortable though so you won't feel like you made a mistake in the end by skipping but I promise you...in this case even when you compare them side by side in the tube you will see they are the same. This is one of those cases where it truly feels like MAC just flat out renamed a previously released color versus just re promoting that color. I'm usually quick to point out even the smallest of differences and I see absolutely no difference. Formula is the same. Everything. That's not a bad thing...especially if you missed out on Restrained or you needed a backup. Or you just love the color that much that you welcome as many as you can get your pretty little hands on. It's just the first time I've ever been able to say without a shadow of a doubt that a color was spot on and didn't let my mind convince me that there were enough differences to justify it lol.

I believe we were saying how beautiful restrained was when it first came out. Did you compare it to wholesome? I think wholesome had more pink to it though.I think someone asked for a swatch of SS vs Restrained. Here it is. I didn't realize they were virtually identical until I finally got around to trying on SS and realized I've seen this color before lol. Then I realized not only do I have it in Restrained but I have Restrained backed up! So yeah...to the clearance bin SS will likely go! Well...the backup. Yes I compared it to Wholesome. They aren't the same...Wholesome is more pink and you can spot the difference immediately from the tube. I tried to take a pic from my phone of both tubes side by side of SS and Restrained to show how virtually identical they look but these are the best I could get. The lighting wasn't the best.
