MAC Magnetic Nude Collection (December 26, 2013)

I don't tend to rave about a lipglass but I Steel Kiss! I am trying to fight the urge to get these fluid lines when I still have Gilt Gourmet and Deliciously Rich from whatever collection they came from that I haven't used! Not sure why I haven't used them other than I just completely forget about them.

Okay that's it! I'm just gonna go on ahead and order it. I love how it looks in swatches and I don't want to regret missing out on it. Since I don't have Stone, I'm going to try it with Mauve lip pencil. And I completely agree about the fluidlines. I'm moreso thinking I will use them like paint pots because the lighter tones tend not to work for me as liners. However, the colors are gorgeous! I picked up Deliciously Rich and still need to get Stares & Speculations from DN.

This makes me feel a little better, maybe that's just normal. I mean that was the day before Christmas Eve, so maybe they weren't really processing orders much after that?

I ordered the first day Nordstrom's put the collection up too (12/23). There's finally some movement today--departure scan from Salt Lake City Utah just this morning. So maybe this is finally packed and ready for UPS to pick up? Hope so anyway.

You can always call Nordstrom too--the are pretty friendly on the phone usually

I haven't logged onto here in years but this collection got me back on the MAC bandwagon. I hauled Pleasure Model (reminds me a bit of Razin and Sun Power when applied), Magnetic Appeal and Oh my Darling.

I LOVE Oh my darling. I wore it yesterday over Viva Glam Gaga 2 with chestnut lipliner and I fell in love. I also have Pleasure Model on my cheeks

I will say that even in the tube they look exactly the same. Try it out to make sure if it will make you feel more comfortable though so you won't feel like you made a mistake in the end by skipping but I promise you...in this case even when you compare them side by side in the tube you will see they are the same. This is one of those cases where it truly feels like MAC just flat out renamed a previously released color versus just re promoting that color. I'm usually quick to point out even the smallest of differences and I see absolutely no difference. Formula is the same. Everything. That's not a bad thing...especially if you missed out on Restrained or you needed a backup. Or you just love the color that much that you welcome as many as you can get your pretty little hands on. It's just the first time I've ever been able to say without a shadow of a doubt that a color was spot on and didn't let my mind convince me that there were enough differences to justify it lol.

I intentionally ignored this collection and the color story because I didn't want to like anything. I only got sucked in because MAC took too long to launch PC online so I ended up in Dillard's trying to get my PC backups. And of course the display for this collection was right there calling my name to look at it and swatch it. And of course, MAC then decides it's the perfect time to put both collections online so I can cave and buy stuff. Yeah...I blame MAC and their ridiculous delay for making me buy SS....and everything else I got from this collection! :nods:

I got my goodies!!! I love Silver Dawn! My fav of this collection!! I do not have Restrained to compare Sensual Sparks to but I love it on me too. It pulls pinker and is nice. I am still waiting on Close Contact though. I love FP though. Superb can be a little dark for me but this is pinky peach enough but still light enough for NW 15-18. I am wearing Forever Marilyn all over and it is the perfect highlight for it. Autoerotique does not have the film the others had so YAY! I do not have my other ED blushes with me to compare colors but it is very nice. Carnal Instinct is a bit harsh in my opinion. It is very metallic and harder for me to pull off. I was hoping for a Camden Chic with sheen and this is not it. Morning Rose I commented on before, it is good for everyday no lipstick looks. It is Venus with a little less oomph but with a bit of sparkle.

The fluidlines are the shizz! I love them. All 3!!! I just wish I had a 211 with me. IDK how I left that one in Texas for this trip.

I couldn't live with my Clarisonic. I have the Pro one, which is a bit bulky. So I don't take it with me when I'm going away for a short time. A couple of days into no using it my skin starts feeling all clogged up and yucky.

If you have sensitive skin I'd suggest that you don't use the brush that came with the Clarisonic and buy the Delicate or Acne brush heads instead. IIRC the Mia2 normally comes with the Sensitive brush but I personally find it a bit too harsh for my face. I do use it on my neck though
