So I got my two pieces-Port Red and Mutiny (I only get two pieces the first day, and I hope for gifts and giftcards since my birthday is tomorrow). When I went to the counter today the MA said I was the first one who really paid attention to the NN stuff (so I got first use of most everything!!!). Port Red is AMAZING on. I have a warmer skintone, albeit pale (hard to explain) and I usually shy away from most reds but this is truly nice. It's red but not OTT. Mutiny, I had been wanting for awhile. I haven't swatched my thing yet, but that will come later tonight.

I was really impressed with Hey Sailor and Party Mate, so those are the next things I want, and then the pigments.

Well, I hauled today too! I have to say that I was very good. I got Bell Bottom Blue and Mutiny pigments, Shore Leave e/s, Port Red l/s, and Hey, Sailor lustreglass. I opted not to get Ahoy, There l/s because, while it was pretty, I thought it was unremarkable. I tried it on, but it seemed to be just a nice light pink, so I passed. Port Red, on the other hand, is gorgeous!! I'm not big on brights for my lips, but this is sooooo pretty. I put just a sheer layer on and it stayed true to color, which was important to me because I've found that just a sheer layer of some reds makes them look more like a pink. Anyway, I can't wait to dig into those pigments!

Well I went to Macys this morning when they opened,I was the first one there!!!

And I ended up getting all the eyeshadows,all the pigments,all the lipsticks, alll the lipglosses, and the nail polish in Naughty Nautical!!!

And a dazzle gloss in PLEASURE PRINCIPLE ( the only one I needed,I BOUGHT THEM ALL!!!

) They said they had no more dazzleglass in the company to order that they were not making anymore!! Get them while ya can girls!!!!! Sorry I couldnt remember her exact words all I understood that they had no more to send out to stores!! Sorry I was tired but I had to RUSH to the store was too excited about getting me makeup!!

Like I needed anymore, but a girl can never have enough!!!!!!

I just saw erine1881's swatches in the NN swatch thread. Thank you so much! I can safely skip Mutiny now that I've seen it swatched alongside Azreal Blue, which I already have. It doesn't look different enough to warrent buying a jar of. I think I need to see Bell Bottom Blue in person though. I don't have anything like it yet in my collection. I'm debating because I've seen some descriptions of it as chunky and maybe fallout issues with it.
On the bright side, I'm begining to think that I really want Illegal Cargo, since I don't have Neutral Pink.

I didn't get any lippies yet (not even sure I will... I want to see FOTDs wearing them first). I have 4 eyeshadows to depot now so with the ones I have, I will have enough for a B2M. Not sure if I will use it for this collection or save it for Neo Sci Fi of Colour Forms

I just bought Port Red today and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Over lipbalm it sheers out to a nice ruby shimmer stain, but alone (over primer) it is gorgeous!! A must-have lippie in my book.

So yes, I got to swing by a counter and check NN out today. All those swatches you guys put up were such teasers! Mucho big thanks for them, tho. So here are my 2 cents of the items I was interested in...

I agree with those that say Submarine is darker than Freshwater but c'mon, the texture of Freshwater beats Submarine hands down! =P And I think Freshwater with a bit of Bell Bottom Blue or Blue Storm over it might deepen it to Submarine levels, yah?

Mutiny...absolutely gorgeous. If anything, I'll completely ignore Azreal Blue in favour of Mutiny b/c sometimes the silvery frost of AB is a bit much for my eye shape, and somehow makes my lids look wrinkley.

Mutiny comes to the rescue!

Port Red is a must-have for me, besides Mutiny. It's such an easy red to wear, doesn't look heavy but gives your look some good *oomph*. Classy and fun, perfect for summer weddings! B2M I go...

Love Knot is super pretty, but if it's sheer I'll pass. I don't think it'll show on my pigmented lips and I rarely do more than one lip product at a time, so I won't bother with wearing a lippie under it to make it show more. If there's one floating around in the future I'll pick it up.

Illegal Cargo... is what I wish I picked up instead of Neutral Pink. As pretty as NP is I like this purple cousin more. Since I have NP tho, I'll see if I can add something on top of it to make IC. *crossing my fingers for that experiment...*

Meet the Fleet was the surprise for me. I didn't fall in love with it but I really like how it can go with purple or blues really easily b/c it has tones of both. I do wish the texture was better tho, which is why I hesitate on even putting it on my "later" list.

That's all I really cared to look at. Pandamonium I have, so nothing new for me there. Shirelle's a perm and I have OPI Russian Navy, which looks much prettier than NN, imo.

Looking forward to Solar Bits and Cool Heat now!

I got Munity, Bell Bottom, Lovely Lily and Hey Sailor today I am pettty sure that is all I want from this collection. I am going to try to be a good girl now tell color forms comes out as I want so much from that collection. LOL

Honestly, once my UPS man arrived (very much later than usual today) and I got to actually try on Shore Leave...it's too frosty for me.

Now once I tried on MTF, on the other hand....I absolutely fell in love with it! It makes for such a sexy smokey eye! I have a very hard time pulling off blues and I can definitely do this one. No, it doesn't have the best texture, but I can overlook that for the color!

I added to yesterday's haul, I am really really loving this collection! I picked up Bell Bottom Blue and Mutiny. Bell Bottom Blue in my opinion has a great texture, very rich. Mutiny didn't impress me texture wise, though it's not really chunky, but the colour is gorgeous. Perfect for a beachy look.

I have to agree with the poster that compared Shore Leave to Phloof, that is what it reminded me of, but I find that Shore Leave doesn't have the icy-frost texture of Phloof and doesn't look quite as whitish.

I'm also thinking of finishing off my NN haul with Party Mate and Bateaux, I swatched the two together and it looked like a unique bronze-y pink colour that would probably look nice on my olive skin tone.

And finally, I completely agree with everyone on Meet the Fleet, seriously a great colour that will go with a lot.

Ladies, this collection is killing me, and I thought, i mean honestly thought i was going to walk away with only 3 items!!! Good thing I'm getting a tax refund this year, lol!

I am trying to decide whether or not to get Shore Leave...I'm thinking about waiting to get Femme-Fi from Neo Sci-fi because it seems like it will be similar and I CRAVE that orange packaging!

Femme-fi Frosty golden cream (veluxe pearl)
Shore Leave Pale frosty cream (veluxe pearl)

Should I just wait?

I think one of the reasons that Meet the Fleet was impossible for me to walk away from is because it will work well with blue AND purple looks. I think it looks more blue when paired with blue shades, and more purple when worn with other purples. There is just something about this one that I couldn't pass up. And then once I heard the MA said it wasn't too bad to blend, and I saw how beautiful it looked on her, I had to have it.

Today, the MA was wearing Illegal Cargo on the lid with MTF in the crease, Shore Leave to highlight and a tiny bit of Mutiny pigment on the inner corners of her eyes. It looked simply amazing.

My MA urged me to put on Love Knot l/g over Port Red l/s... It's seriously gorgeous. I got a compliment from someone at another counter while wearing it walking out of the mall. Love Knot makes it this gorgeous dark magenta unlike anything else. I was sold.

I asked about this (around post #668), and Erine1881's reply was:

"lets see. im not saying they are the same as these perm colors, but its the best way to describe the colors. shore leave is to all that glitters where femmi fi is to honey lust. shore leave is more cream and femme fi is more gold. does that help?"

I am planning to get both, since they sound different, and are both VPs which I LOVE!

I got my package today.

Shore leave is so frosty and silvery on me. I mean...I kind of like it and I love the texture. But I didn't expect all the silver....I expected a cream color. its probably just my skin lol

illegal cargo is so much better than i expected. its not dull at all, its shimmery pretty girly grayish lavender. love it

ensign-its ok. pretty. not to die for. but its ok

bateaux-its okay. again, nothing too great but its nice.

party mate-not my color. i shouldnt have went there

im happy with my illegal cargo at least!

I was soooooo goooood today I only bought one thing (from this collection)! I got Shore Leave and I am in love. It's so creamy and pretty and beautiful and will be an incredible highlight. Whee!

I got my stuff today too and was surprised at how silvery Shore Leave is as well. I'm going to try it tomorrow and see what I think of it on my face as opposed to my hand LOL

Ensign is a lovely light peachy pnk on me, perfect for summer.

Party Mate is bright but a great raspberry pink.

Love Submarine as I find it to be a darker version of Freshwater which I adore

I can't wait to get my samples of Mutiny and Bell bottom Blue from 1156Cheryl to decide if I want to order those.
