I think I am definately getting the black Solar Bits, but I am not sure about the others until I see them. The color descriptions don't sound that different from eachother. Too bad there isn't a bigger color range in these... they sound really awesome!

Thank you erine1881!!!

Okay, so it looks like I'm getting the solar bits instead of the eyeshadows.....which are a shame because although the eyeshadows are in my favorite finish, the colors aren't spectacular.

i loved the finish of metal-x, but despised the formula!

they are loose like a pigment, but the particles are chunky (a different kind of chunky than the chunky pigments. the particles are bigger than regular pigments, but not flaky like chunky pigments. does that make sense? kinda hard to explain). they are VERY shiny and sparkley. not glittery, and by glittery i mean glittery like pro glitters. working for mac you tend to differentiate between shiny, shimmery, sparkley, and glittery, so sorry if this confuses people.

even tho they are a powder, they are a creamy powder. they are very smooth in texture, not gritty at, even with the sparkles. the color is intense like vp shadows, but the sparkles show up really well. you can use them anywhere on the face (not the lips
nonono.gif
) and is approved for contact wearers.

does that answer your questions?

Thanks Erine! they sound interesting I really hope I like them when I see them irl.

since our update was shortened from 8 hours to 2 hours, i didn't have time to play with all the colors unfortunately. from looking at the container, the 2 lighter shades looked similar

, but i'm sure how they look on the skin.

you will LOVE LOVE LOVE black ore!!! i wish there was more of a color range too, but since this colllection is all about neutrals on the eyes and cheeks, and color on the lips, and it being a new product, it kinda makes it hard to come up with loads of different shades. hopefully in the future there will be more colors, but with the name solar bits, it might be awkward.

the shadows are actually really pretty. they are soft earthy shades that will look great this summer. but i have a little bad news. magnetic fields isn't a VP like the descrips say. its labeled VP, but its not.
ssad.gif
it woulda rocked if it were tho. its actually a lustre. sorry folks. what's up the mac and all of the mislabeling?

there are none being released up til june. we go to update every three months, and only cover whats being released during the next three months. so all we know of right now is whats being released up to colour forms. sorry i don't have better news for ya. keep those fingers crossed!

somehow some people on here get info ahead of time of collections/products that are coming out long before we even go to update and learn about them. those sneaky little devils

! so hopefully someone will know something at some point.

I wonder if the solar bits are anything like LORAC Glam Rocks???

solar bits contains concentrated amounts of powder pigments and pearlized particles to deliver vivid colour and intense shimmer with a soft, smooth, velvety finish. the pigments clusters have a creamy tixture that helps the product adhere to the skin. solar bits an be worn anywhere on the face, including the delicate eye area. it is dermatologist and opthalmologist tested, non-acnegenic, and appropriate for contact lens wearers.

I'm so glad to hear that the solar bits are a cream to powder product. Now I'm really interested in these. I assume there is some sort of 'cones in these to help make these apply smoothly?

they are 0.14oz, almost 3 times the size of the lipconditioner tubs.

they aren't cream to powder. they are a creamy powder. two different things. if you drop this, it will spill everywhere, just like if you drop a jar of pigment. where pigments are a dry powder, these are a little creamier, smoother, softer. but NOT cream to powder, like paint pots are.

My mua mentioned the solar bits as a standout item coming out soon. He said they are mainly meant for the eyes and that they are definitely powdery

I am wondering about the blushes too. Are either too warm for NW15? I am interested in the peach one, but not if it's too warm.

Yea I am also NW15 and am hoping for a sheer peachy color as opposed to in your face intense peach.
