spaced out is nowhere near shy beauty. it has no comparison whatsoever. it is gorgeous!!! it does have some orange-y duochrome to it, but still beautiful!!! i'm definately getting it. its more fairer-skin friendly, imo.

hope that helps ya audrey

Please stop mentioning the word duochrome. Every time I see that word, I can see a mental picture of money running away from my wallet

Ok here come the questions
lol.gif
So do you think Time and Space is close enough to Bronze? Is it safe to skip it if I already have Bronze and rarely use it? And Sunsonic l/s looks similar to Gel l/s, yes? I definately want to B2M for Pleasureseeker l/s, and get the 2 lightest e/s and peach blush, but I am trying to cut corners everywhere I can...

Oh, and what do the circle and star mean next to the blushes?

Yep, that seals the deal, it's Sci Fi Delity and Electro for me. Thanks, Erine

I thought I could pass on the lipsticks... but nope. I'm going to have to rethink my budget for this collection lol. I'm still scared that the colours might be too warm for me though.

I think that pleasureseaker is the only lipstick that I would even consider on my cool and NW15 skin. I wish that I could pull off that orange lipstick but I don't think I can. The eye shadows and solar bits look divine. I am even warming up to the orange packaging. So much MAC and so little money!

What shadows are you planning to get? I think only Femme Fi and Evening Aura for me, assuming they aren't too warm. I already have Expensive Pink, and I think Bronze will substitute for Time and Space. I rarely wear these shades, but I think it's because I don't have many of them, and I can't find ones that work well on cool skin. It stinks because supposedly orange/bronze shades are supposed to make blue eyes pop, but I always look rediculous in those colors (Firespot, I am talking to you!) But, I think these will be nice for summer if I can find a way to make them work for me. Pleasureseeker is the only l/s I am interested in too, and the peach blush. I can get away with under $50 for this collection!

So, yeah...looking at those swatches (thank you Erine!!) I think I want Pleasureseeker and Sunsonic l/s, maybe Femme-Fi (although I'll have to see how close it is to Shore Leave) and Evening Aura e/s and Spaced Out blush (man Audrey...our lists are just about the same!!). And then of course the Solar Bits!

Yep

I guess that's good considering we are both NW15. That means that we both must be correct in assuming that those are the only products that will really work for us

I am always so scared of collections like this because the colors are great, but I realized with Moonbathe that just because I *want* certain colors to work for me doesn't mean they do.
lol.gif
I will check out Sunsonic l/s too (cause I have enough for 2 B2M) and if it isn't too close to a few other gold lippies I have, I'll grab that one too

I just noticed a seller on ebay has the Solar Bits available. They're new with no box, they're a couple of dollars below retail, I bought scatterays, but the other 3 are available.

Ladies, i went in to mac today to check out dazzleglasses and the mua i was speaking with is the trainer for the new collections. She was wearing all 3 of the solar bits and she had this to say:

They are kind of sort of like pigments, only a lot chunkier- sort of gritty. On her they were gorgeous- metallic with lots of shine. She said you can mix it with mixing medium for a thin metallic sheen- but what she did was mix it with eye cream. The effect was kind of gritty (you could see the chunks) but the texture worked! I am sold on them already!

bronze is swatched right next to it. bronze is a bit darker. sunsonic is a bit more gold that gel, at least on paper.

the star and circle mean not approved for eye or lip. our update book comes with codes such as these and LE, perm. color, LE but perm. at stores, repromote, etc.

electro's wn is revised morange, if that helps you. electro is a lustre, so its kinda like the concept of the originals collection when it comes to this color. similar color, different finish.

I think that I am only going to get Femme Fi and Evening Aura as well. The other colors I don't think would work too well on my skintone. I also might have to get black ore solar bits. I am going to really try to stick to a budget as well as I am going to go broke for Cool Heat. I am hoping to get EVERY shadow from Cool Heat.
