MAC - Overrich Discussion

it's so weird ...

My mega rich is 7.5grams whereas my blonde gold, antiqued gold and vintage green are 4.3g as written on the jars....

why is there inconsistencies in the weight of the pigments?

^Yeah i've heard about that issue but haven't seen a clear answer. Could it have to do with the more finely-milled texture that a few of them have? I really don't know but I'd like to!

That sounds great!! I use to do that with golden lemon, little ruby red or maroon over a lipstick in the same color tone that has a slight gold to it. After reading yours it reminded me of it, I stopped doing that a long time ago so thank you

Thanks

I really love it and am surprised how good it looks alone or as a highlight color. I wore it yesterday, first i put it over the whole lid then used copperbeam in the crease. I didnt think I'd like the blondes gold under the brow but it looked great. I'm a vanilla gal and it's great to find a color that I really like for that area. It's not too shimmer, on me it's more on the tan side but alot lighter.

I told myself before this collection comes out, "You've got 12 full size pigments and 20 samples you rarely use, so you don't need ANYTHING from Overrich."

Only now... I do, I need a jar of Blonde's Gold and CopperBeam and samples of Mega Rich and Heritage Rouge.

I blame you all for the gorgeous swatches you've posted.

And this winter, when it's cold and nasty outside, I'm going to press every pigment I own so I actually use all my lovelies.

different finishes/textures have different ingredients that weight different amounts. if you notice mauvement and mega-rich have a different texure than the rest, and those are the two that weigh more.

Is Heritage Rouge worth getting? I have full jars of Royal Flush, Accent Red, and Maroon and a sample of Ruby Red. I am undecided because I already have similiar colours.

Hmm yes, you've got a good point. The texture of Blonde's Gold is a lot better than Jardin Aires. However, I don't think that if you have Jardin Aires, Blonde's Gold isn't necessary.

I think Blonde's Gold is a goldish tan.
Or maybe a tan-ish gold; I can't quite decide.

The best I can do toward describing it is to say that it's a sandy golden beige with a metallic finish.
It's lovely!
It's shimmery, but, IMO, not "glittery."
I don't notice chunky glitter particles or a lot of "fall-out."
Blonde's Gold has that creamy texture characteristic of the better pigments.

I LOVE Blonde's Gold, but couldn't abide Jardin Aires.
I wanted to love Jardin Aires, but it just didn't work for me.
Blonde's Gold, on the other hand, is smooth, rich, shimmery and, best of all, neutral.
Yes, it *is* gold, but more of a neutral, beige-y gold.
It can look warm or cool, depending on what you wear with it.

Have you checked the Clearance Bin for Mauvement? That's where I got mine a while back, for considerably cheaper than retail.

It is very easy and i am sure there are tons of ways to do it. What I did was with a clean finger scoop some lip balm (from a tin) onto the back of my hand. I then took a clean finger to my heritage rouge to grab some and then mixed that with the balm on my hand. I then applied it to my lips and took another finger and dipped it into the blondes gold which i patted on top my lips in the center and then smushed out

Has anyone the same problem with Antique Green? It fades on me like a disappearing act. Never had this same problem with anything else
