How do you all like the prolongwear concealer? I've been using select-cover up for years but want to try something new. I was going to get it a few months ago but the SA at my local mac mentioned something to the fact that it would age my skin? if I didn't use a moisturizer first?
So funny - I did a live chat today and she recommended the plw concealer for me. I'm old already so I guess there is no worry about it aging my skin.

It's absolutely amazing!
High pigmentation, doesn't crease or budge.
I even used it as a foundation and I adored it.
I can't wait to finish the two concealers that I have right now, I will repurchase PLWC for sure.
My only problem with it is the horrible pump and the really-really thin glass... It is so fragile.
I would be so happy if MAC would repackage it in a tube for example.

I dunno - I find the PLW is drying (though not as bad as some others) and manages to crease a bit on me. I still did like it a lot comparatively UNTIL the Mineralize concealer came out. Now THAT is my HG concealer - it's so smooth and moisturizing - not harsh on my delicate eye skin at all. I like the applicator. It doesn't crease or do anything else weird at all and on top of it all, it's got de-puffing caffeine in it - combined with the P&P Vibrancy Eye, my bags are smoothed out almost completely - which is saying a lot, because I'm a bag lady!

PLW is fuller coverage than the Mineralize one, though…so I suppose that's the trade off.

I love the Mineralize concealer too. I had no idea there was caffeine in it, no wonder I love it under my eyes!!

do you set this with a powder? I love this concealer too but my issues was it didn't last long.

'Very rarely set it with powder. I do make sure my serum and eye cream is totally absorbed before I use it, plus my skin is so darn dry anyhow. I use P&P Vibrancy Eye underneath. I usually don't need 8+ hour coverage, though, so I haven't really noticed the wear time on it. It doesn't do anything weird like crease as time goes on, at least.

PLW Concealer is amazing stuff! It's been my HG product since I first purchased it three years ago when MAC first introduced the PLW Foundation and Concealer. I was matched with NW50 for both and the NW50 for the foundation is too light so I use the NW50 concealer to mix it to give it a right match for my skintone.

Can someone please answer this for me: everyone raves about PLW concealer, including my fav youtuber Jaclyn Hill, but I had serious issues with it oxidizing on me. I got matched to NW20, which looked fine initially, but it darkened one or two shades about an hour after applying. Am I doing something wrong? I really want to love this concealer, but it is very noticeable. I haven't heard of any issues with this on any forums or reviews.

It's not your fault. It just may be the wrong concealer for you. :support:
