Waaay too orangey. Bone beige doesn't show up at all. I'm going to return it and get Accentuate and Sculpt later.

The accentuate may look too orange because you're picking up too much with your brush?

I think you are right about picking up to much with my brush, I started all over today and got some better results with it, I really don't like my 168 brush it is to dense, and very rough. I think I just need to play around more and get used to it.

Re: Sculpt and Shape Discussion

From what little I have played around with my Sculpt, I found that a slant headed blush brush worked pretty well, as long as I was light. I'm NW20 as well, and Bone Beige just didn't show up (and I was pretty heavy handed at the counter). Like I said before, though, it might have been the sample. The consistency of Bone Beige reminded me of an eyeshadow that had something spill on it, and then dried (if that makes any sense).

Re: Sculpt and Shape Discussion

the brushes are absolutely gorgeous and feel amazing. However, Im kind of pail so I wanted the one with the palest highlighting powder, and I found that it was kind of chalky rather than shimmery. Thats just my experience tho, so I bypassed it. I use a bronzer for contor and i have the silver dusk loose shimmer that I think does a great job. I just kind of feel like everyone already has products that would work just as good or even better. The brushes are fab tho...

I just wanted to say that because of this very thread, I bought both Bone Beige/Emphasize and Accentuate/Sculpt... after spending too much on makeup already this month! I was just afraid to let these LE highlight/contour powders get away!

I love this forum, but sometimes I fear that it's bad for my wallet! Oh well, can you really put a price on beauty?

I bought Bone Beige/Emphasize but thought the white side a bit too light, although I love the Bone Beige side.

I went back to the store to get another one, this time in Accentuate/Sculpt and the MAC MAs tried to convince me not to get it,as it would not show up on me. They kept saying that Bone Beige/Emphasize was so much better for me. I wasn't returning it, I just wanted another one that was softer.

I bought Accentuate/Sculpt anyway, but was a bit put off that they were so against it. I love that pinky blushed beige side. It's so subtle.

So now I have two.

Ehh...I'm not really sure. I didn't really play with it, I just put some on my cheek without any foundation on. I was actually trying to see if my angle blush brush would be good enough (I don't have the big tapered brush he used on me, nor do I have $52 to spend on it).

I liked it when he put it on me but there was something...off about it. I don't think the coloris wrong, because the first 2 look way too light for our skin, and the darkest one looks way too dark/orange.

I am going to try my hardest to play with it tomorrow and I'll let you know for sure. I am kind of feeling like maybe it should be the light color, then the contour shade, then the light color underneath of that. I'm not sure, maybe to blend it better?

CantAffordMAC, one of the MAs suggested I use the 224 tapered blending brush for the highlighter. I've been collecting brushes for 2 decades and have so many face brushes, but this brush (which is technically for the eyes) is my favourite for highlighting on the face.

I use a blush brush for the contour, but kind of squeeze the sides of the bristles together with my fingers (to make it slimmer) and prefer that to my tapered/angled face brushes.

Same, and I'm NC35/40.

Sculpt and Shape should definitely become permanent. Up to this point, most of us who aren't pro makeup artists would rely on blushes, bronzers, or really shimmery highlighters to contour. I read somewhere that for the "naked" ("Look guys! No makeup!") contour look, the pros would use different shades of foundation, which I tried, but the process on a daily basis is very cumbersome. Sculpt and Shape definitely fills a void in the market.

The highlighter in the lighter one is way too white.

I have some adesign brushes and I began using my angle cheek brush for the contouring. I have gotten better at it. People keep complimenting me and saying how good I look lately and they can't figure out what it is lol. I have a regular cheek brush that i use for the highlighting. I haven't had any problems with this lately. I will have to look into the 224.

I know for sure I'm getting the 187 though

Re: Sculpt and Shape Discussion

I picked up Accentuate/Sculpt yesterday and is it just me, or do I think the highlighter is too white? I'm NC25-30. I prefer my Lightscapade somehow!

Lightsweep/Shadester:

I apply the contour powder along my cheekbone with an angle blush brush. To soften it out, I apply the highlighting shade UNDERNEATH of the contour shade (instead of along the cheekbones, I highlight and blend underneath near my jawbone).
Then I take my Light Flush MSF with a powder brush and pick up some of the MSF, then spray it with Fix+ (makes it more vibrant and shimmery) and apply along my cheekbone and blend that.

I've gotten sooooooo many compliments. Everyone loves it. I think it perfects my skin.

Definitely play with this one. I tried it on the same way you did and was less than impressed. But when I played with it over foundation and powder I was blown away. Its not something that has on overtly obvious look to it and it is stunning. HTH!

I'm NW15, and I got Bone Beige/Emphasize. The 138 brush is AWESOME, but I think what I got may be too light. I'm really pale, so I think I just need to work with it.
