I'm torn b/c I don't have many mes's but nothing looks amazing to me. I want to buy one just to have but I should really just stick to the lip items I want.

Decisions, decisions

After watching several brush reviews, they only seem to be useful if you prefer to use the flat side to apply product rather than working with the edge of a brush. The 235 looks huge but might be useful for an overall wash of color, but it seems unsuitable for any kind of precision work.

Did you get chance to play with the kabuki or the face brush? Maybe they would work better with the MSF? I prefer the 150 more for loose powders.
Yes I was honestly quite stunned when the MA gave me the #150 to apply 'blush'. Lol. But I was in a hurry so I didn't say anything. Nope I didn't get to play with the face brushes. All I remember was that the smaller face brush felt rather stiff and the divide between natural and synthetic bristles was rather prominent and so I wasn't impressed. I don't use kabuki brushes to apply blush.

I was deciding between #234 and #235 today, and the MA told me that I should get the #234 because it's not necessary to own the #235. I agree wholeheartedly with his words.

Maybe the 235 is good for p/p (with the synthetic side) as you can spread out the product, but I'm not sure for what I would use the natural bristles.

Has anybody tried them out with the MES? There must be a reason why they are promoted with the mineralize collection :)

Yuck!! The tester thing is super gross. I can't see how they can get away with that.
Anyway I love to hear your thoughts of Warmth of Coral blush.
I tested WoC today. It was quite subtle. When I did a light wash of colour it was very natural, like a tan colour on me, but a very very subtle tan. Then I tried it with a heavier hand and it turned in to this apricot shade, which was different from my other orangey-peachy-coraly blushes. When I pick up the colour with my brush there's some powderyness (?is that the correct term?), and the powder dust is very fine. This blush is not too pigmented, like I really was packing it up and it didn't look too much even then. The texture is very fine compared to previous mineral blushes, it feels silky, but again, it's not heavily pigmented like MBs usually are, but it can be built. Let me know if there's anything else you would like to know, or if there's any comparison swatches needed! :)

What's your complexion?

Well I'm super pale. Right now I have a tiny "tan" and I'm NC15.

Oh wow, that WoC must be super sheer if it does not show up a lot. I'm sure it looks cute on you. If you are pale, super-pigmented products are sometimes more difficult to work with, so you must be happy with your purchase. I'm still relieved that it was an unopened tester!

Actually, I do like things super-pigmented (for example some PRO blushes like Devil etc.), because I like that I don't have to build the colour when I want bold cheeks (even when I'm as pale as a white sheet, I'm not afraid of bright/bold/dark blushes), but I can make it sheer easily too. But it is sometimes convenient to have something subtle and fool proof to work with, and I think WoC fits in that category. :)

Are you planning to get WoC? :)

I will definitely swatch it on Thursday, but it's not on my must-have list. I'm well equipped with Marine Life and My Paradise, which give me enough coral-peachy-orangey color. Although WoC still sounds amazing, I am not wowed how the product looks in the pan, considering that there a million other blushes out there that might be similar. I still like the idea of fool-proof blushes, and all three of them seem to fall into that category, thus they might be a great starter kit. I might cave in when I swatch it though... I secretly hope that some information re the new Pro blush collection will leak before Thursday, in which case I will probably pass on all the mineralized blushes and wait for the release of the cheek sculpture series in September.

[/quote] Since the 235 is shaped like the 227 I would use it to apply and blend concealer; which is what I use the 227 for now. I love the 227. It's an underrated brush in my opinion. Being smaller in size, and having the dual fiber bristles, the 235 is like a new improved version of it.

Although I have to wait to buy anything, I did go to my Pro store and do some swatching today. For some reason, none of the glosses have wands built in, which is weird, but looking at them, nothing appealed to me enough to take a closer look.

The shadows are more seductive than I initially believed. I can really see a lot of depth in them when swatched, even dry. I'm currently thinking:

Unsurpassable
Hint of Sapphire
Jade's Fortune
Clarity

The darker ones all seem like things that I could dupe by using other colours over Blackground paint pot, which I have. If you don't have blackground, the darker colours are nice.

None of the lipsticks struck me as "must-have", but I have a bunch of empties to return, so I might pick up a couple from that. The blushes and MSFs didn't seem like anything I didn't have, but I will say that the texture on the MSFs is quite nice. I didn't find them glittery/ gritty, although there's plenty of shimmer.
