MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

I find they last better if you don't apply too thickly - which is a bit of an clash if you're looking for dense color. Their colors sort of sit on top of the lips and show themselves more clearly or less depending on how the light hits, instead of giving a stain of color that goes all the way into the lips, like the pigmented regular lipglass.

Overall, I feel like Cremesheen glasses are a better fit for us older gals who can't pull off mega-glossy lips like we used to, or folks who like to wear gloss over lipstick

They're my favorite MAC gloss (not counting Dare to Wear or Kissables, which are sort of hybrids to me anyhow), so yep, I'm biased!

How gay am I that I want an eyeshadow that looks like dirt? I got really excited when I read that. Do you mean it literally looks like dirt?!--if so, I am tracking that sucker down.

I would love to purchase your Gem of Roses! I however need to have some self control lol. I have 26 MAC lipsticks already, and that's all purchased within the last 6 months, so I've gotta use 'em or lose 'em! ;)

oh gurl.... yes! Its impossible to blend and when blended only the dirty black is left to get into every crease u got on your lid...no color pay off at all... Even if foiled when it dried its a very saaaaad story. A VERY VERY VERY saaaaaaad color! and the worst is that it has fall-out like a mofo.

Sounds FUN! Lol. On sundays when I have nothing to do and Im home alone, I go and put wacky combinations on. Nobody sees it but me and I laugh at myself

Well, that explains why it is still available on the website. I love dirt as a color, but I can't deal with chalky, crease, or no blend--thanks for saving me. And fall out means my eyeballz will revolt.

I used Crystal Pink today, I am really loving both the outter ring for highlight and the inner "boob" for blush. That and Feeling Flushed were my faves. I like the pink Quartz MSF too, but Crystal Pink is so subtle but adds that just right omph. I used to wonder why so many folks went crazy for these MSF cuz I used to be all about the eyecolor, but I am becoming an MSFomaniac.

me too. I never had an MSF until I got pearl and rose quartz, but i'll prolly NEVER collect them. They are costly, delicate and there isnt that much variety IMO, but its worth having 5 or so :p

The thing about blue sheen is not that it looks like dirt in terms of color (I love me some dirty ass browns lol) but its the texture. Like mud gone dry

Daaang! Where do you store them all? I probably have well over 100 lipsticks total, lol, so for me to have 26 of just MAC, I've gotta slow my roll! lol I'm worried that they're going to go bad and I won't be able to use them all up :-/ I'm the biggest sucker for eyeshadows, though! I wish I was into MAC when this collection was released but I caught the tail end which were the beginning stages of my MAC bug, lol, and I was able to snag Lush Amber and One of a Kind from the MAC site, which are two shades I love.

Makes sense. I've been meaning to find a tray that has square cubes instead of dots/circles, because I need a house for my NARS and one Dior lipstick lol, basically the square-shaped lippies. I currently use something like this for my MAC lipsticks: http://www.symaksales.net/product.jhtm?id=6661&cid=3 . I got it at the dollar tree and it holds the lipsticks upside down so I can see the names of the colors :)

Great idea using a mini-ice cube tray - cute and cost-effective!

Thank you :) I picked up the idea when I needed storage for my eyeshadow singles, so I bought some regular-sized ice cube trays, and the idea spurred from there. Ice cube storage for all make-up! lol
