I don't know if I am WAY older than you or not. I'm 51. If you were a fan of his younger brother, you're no spring chicken yourself. Hate to tell you this, but we're BOTH a little long in the tooth!

Old? Moi? Forty-six and counting. LOL

My cousin (who's six years older than me) was a DC fan, so I knew you were just a bit older. It's funny how you can fairly accurately 'age' people by what barely pubescent male idol they liked. Someday my 12 year-old will be laughing about One Direction.

I think the criteria is that they're over when they get their first whisker.

Ain't that the truth? Also, I'm forever defending the 'original' version of songs to my kids who think remixes are better. What do they know? That noise isn't music, get off my lawn, etc.

Edit: Also, when creating new Star Trek movie, at least take a fresh spin at it. Loved 2009 Star Trek because they did exactly that. Brought the characters up to date while still staying true to their original vision. Into Darkness was just annoying. Can they not write new dialogue and come up with a new plot?

I was never a fan of any barely pubescent male idol. I did have a thing for Mick Jagger for a while, though

I perked up once I read Star Trek. There were a lot of things wrong with Into Darkness, but I was too distracted by Benedict Cumberbatch. I do like that Star Trek got a reboot, but I will always be a loyal fan of TOS. Any whoos... I'm kind of excited about this collection. Mostly because it's a mother/daughter collaboration and it's sort of bringing two different generations together for the love of makeup (not that makeup already does that, heh). My mum loathes the Osbournes, so this won't be a collection that brings us together, but I still like the concept. That's at least the way I see it.

speaking of lime crime... (No where else to put this but since you all brought them up) I was at a play and during the break noticed a lipgloss... Without looking at the label, I KNEW It was lime crime velevetine... and I've never ordered from them... you know your a makeup addict when... you can spot the brand and probably know the color of someone else's product.

That's impressively scary?!

I never got into the teen idols either. David Bowie was pretty fascinating to me, but that's about as far as it got. No denying Mick Jagger back in the day, though he was definitely for "big girls"

Thank you, liba. I will have to try your suggestions and start wearing my QC again.

Hello fellow Gen X'er. Glad I'm not alone. I also do not know who most of these celebs are anymore. I can barely keep up with the music and entertainment. I'm finding it hard to tell the difference between most of the actresses & singers nowadays as they all look a like & the singers all sound a like. Drives me nuts.

You know, I'm only 30 and have a hard time knowing who lots of people are that I see on the covers of magazines or hear mentioned. I have no clue on newer bands or actresses unless I happen to be exposed to them by others and can barely tolerate any of the new music that has come out in the last 10 years or so with the exception of a few bands/artists that I have followed for a length of time. I only know who Kelly and Sharon are because I've always been an Ozzy fan and liked them from when I watched their MTV show.

There are at least a dozen celebrities who I know only because I see them whenever I get In Style magazine. I don't know where they come from or what they do, I just know that they get photographed a lot.

Personally, I'm not crazy about celebrity collections, because it reminds me of all the perfumes that are developed for mass market that just have a celebrity name plastered on them. It's a way for these companies to market otherwise lacklustre product. That isn't necessarily the case with colour cosmetics, but I always get suspicious. I'll buy the products if I like them, but I'm always a little embarrassed by having them.

I get embarrassed when I tell people I'm wearing Curious by Britney Spears or the One Direction perfume. lol

I was 14 (1963) and the Beatles were just too wimpy, i didn't like them until the Revolver album. But the Stones! I got to see them on one of their early tours to the US. Hubba-hubba!
