I'm so happy for the swatches today, really going to help me narrow down my list. As much as I love the look of Riot House and Dodgy Girl I know they won't look flattering on me. KYY it is! I already have CYY but I want it for the pretty packaging, but at least I know I'll use it and it wont just sit in my drawer.

I think you can have both. To me, KYY looks more like Happy-Go-Lucky than CYY.

Speaking of soft brushes, what would you recommend for blushes? I have a small travel sized one from the Tartan MAC collection I think is the name, but would like a full sized one. Brand doesn't matter! Thanks

As I was saying, it really depends on the product. Each of my blushes has a designated brush that works best for the type of application and look I go for.

Haha, it feels like an eternity when you want to read a thread but Specktra is down for maintenance. :haha: :nods:  Not trying to be snarky   , and I'm not a fan of T either, but I feel like we have the same discussion with every collection that's released. While it's completely understandable to talk about the lighting, skintone, application etc when it comes to swatches, as well as disagreeing with someone's rating/reviews, I feel like it can get to a point where it's just bashing someone.

Agree nay! We just need to keep on topic and talk about what matters..........what we all are getting from collections lol

For example, she gave Aphrodite's Shell a C rating, and pretty much everyone I have seen on here has said that they love it.  She never really gave much of a reason for the low rating.  I think she just didn't like that it was a bronzer aimed at fair skin, and yet she has said in the past that that doesn't affect her ratings.

temptalia aside, I really don't like as or Delphic. They don't give off enough pigmentation for my taste. My clients would be like really how how much bronzer are you using with how many swipes of those two I would need. They'll be in the clearance bin soon...

I was thinking the same thing about the T discussion after I said a few things and realized that I wasn't thinking about the whole picture. I honestly think part of where the issues come from is the fact that she is absolutely overwhelmed with the blog. It is her job and what supports her and her husband. She is under a lot of pressure to keep up with reviews/swatches because she is arguably the top beauty blog and someone will take her place if she starts slacking. If she had more time to play around with products to see if they would perform more to her liking, I think she would. Then again, most of the products she reviews more than likely end up being put away never to be seen again, so she has no desire to test them any further. I will say that her makeup application skills could be improved, but everyone has areas they could improve on.

Haha, well our own oils can sometimes be the best glow of all! (especially if you have smooth skin underneath)

Is it just me (it totally could be because I'm kinda color blind) but T makes dodgy girl look way more pink than I was hoping. Anyway I'm glad to finally see some more pictures! Now to find out what a jumbo penultimate is.

Great to see swatches! I love the colors so far also seeing the pictures of every product is fantastic and gives me a better idea. I was thinking the same thing. I've never seen GMS or BC, but since they never said it was a duo of existing colors I'm guessing it's new Colors. Ether way it's still on the list for me, it's gorgeous. My list now that I've seen swatches of the products (Karen and T's) my list has been confirmed and added Riot house Strip poker DG Brow duo (need brow powder and it looks great) Sharon's skinfinsh Sharon's quad MAYBE: KYY (I have many colors similar and I bought happy go lucky from playland and it's looking like the same color really just an amplified finish. Plus there's always pink pigeon lipstick and CYY) what do you guys think? And MAYBE Kelly's skinfinish. (It looked really pale and boring I just need to see more swatches)

KYY isn't gonna be any more special than the hundreds of others pinks we've seen MAC put out. If you've got others, KYY can be a skip.

I can see how some would feel that way about AS, but on very fair skin, bronzer is tricky, especially for ordinary people doing it themselves at home. It's good to have a fool-proof bronzer that can be packed on and not look ridiculous on fair skin.

You hit the nail on the head for me. I have no ties to ANY blogger but all the negativity towards one did seem a little "unspecktra" like when they all their positives and negatives-so I really was wondering what people's perspectives were. I'm happy with all of their swatches really because I alway think like "what if nobody tested this stuff out? What if I had to buy this off the swatches from the company only?" It'd be a sad bunch of returns going on from me lol
