I like that MAC is releasing videos. This one probably is a little creepy, but I do like the video concept.

Does anyone actually eat popcorn like that? just shoving the whole container in your mouth LMAO...

I hope we will see more of these promo videos like they did for GP and now for SR. I find those videos visually stimulating - much more than a regular promo pic. They are a piece of art showing that make up is not always about beauty and/or that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as history has shown us. For example, when we look - through our contemporary lens - at the plucked hairline of Queen Elizabeth I or Mona Lisa, we can certainly not relate, but yet, it was a look that was extremely fashionable and popular.

I'm elated that MAC throws some interesting videos at us from time to time. I take an element from it that I can apply in real life (bold lips, bold cheeks, etc...). I certainly do not want to see an office look promo pic/video from a company like Make Up Art Cosmetics.
couldn't agree more! I loved the video! It was truly a creative work of art and very thought provoking. You don't see things like that from most makeup companies (at least I don't)

I like MAC for being eccentric, unrealistic and fun, which is why I love receiving mailers and I post them on my "MAC door" lol. I really liked chenman, but i didn't get a mailer :/

I really like that.

Exactly. When you look at the visuals and art produced at the MAC Pro-to-Pro events, it clearly shows that make up - especially at MAC - is much more than beauty. It's provocative, inspiring, sometimes even disturbing, everything that makes you reflect on it more deeply. I understand that art is not always pleasing to the eye, nor should it be. These promo videos are just a way to show a different side of make up, and it that sense, they do remarkable work. Make up has the power to transform one's face with little as a brow pencil or a lip color. Simply amazing!

Here is just an example of the Pro party. Beautiful and provoking artistry that seeks inspiration from other art form. It's just brilliant!

I loved the video! The pink popcorn, the mismatched nails -- makes me want to turn around and inspect the faces of people around me while I'm at the movies (I suppose the movies would actually be a great place to test out bright/atypical looks, as no one is really paying attention to you) Ugh I can't wait to get Reel Sexy and Heroine, and to see more swatches and photos!

wow i can't believe she's 50! i didn't even think she was any more than her thirties after seeing the current pics with grey hair....she looks so awesome...

the video is slightly odd in terms of looks portrayed, but fun to watch...i don't think i want to emulate the look, but it is an interesting take on theatre/film makeup...
