Did you all see the video on the MAC website with the makeup artist who did the dark liner with back lipstick?
It was killer. The way she used a dark purple liner and then built on it was pretty. I would love to re-create that look and have pictures done just for fun. But I would never wear a black lip outdoors. i know myself.
Is it worth buying the black lipstick and gloss just for a fun photo shoot??

WOW that was a lot of catching up to do from the past few days!
- A few pages back (probably like 15, lol), people were asking about the l/l used in the video under the black lipstick, right? Did I misunderstand? Anyway, it's Currant. If you go to "Artistry" and then "Artistry in Action" on the MAC site and view the video that way, the site will tell you what products she's using at each step in the video. If you click on "Print Step By Step" or whatever under the video, yu can see the products that way, too.
- Pamela - congrats on the pregnancy! That sucks about the work, though. Unfortunately,a lawsuit's probably not possible... Like other people have said, since you're in an At Will state, it's really hard to prove discrimination - plus Title VII (which is the anti-discrimination law) only applies to places that have a certain number of employees. I forget the exact number, but I'm almost positive it's more than 5.
Good luck finding a new job, though! And at least your husband just got that promotion.

I'm going to the Nordies event tonight to get my stuff.
I've never been to an event before! Usually I go to a freestanding by me, but I asked them a few weeks ago and they said they weren't having one? But the guy I talked to yesterday on the phone at Nordies was super nice and even put my stuff aside for me.
I don't think I need a full makeover - it's a Thursday night, so what would be the point?
- but I defintely need tips on making this stuff wearable for the courtroom.

And after hearing all about NV and how it can be sheered out and how it shows up on girls with pigmented lips like the promo? I'm thinking I might get that, too. I finally talked myself out of the black lipsticks - there's just nowhere I'd wear them. And no GBA - as much as gold/bronze colors bring out the blue in my eyes, I have a few shades of gold/bronze/brown already, and I want to spend my money on FUN colors, not boring ones!

Well ladies, I just spent my lunch hour with my MA trying a variety of combinations. I love Love LOVE this collection! I just spent the past 5 min taking pictures of myself in the car cuz I think I look cute lol!
I stocked up on both the VAE and VAM (I know its a LE skin product which isn't idea, but STILL its great and I had to have it!).
I'm currently wearing Gilt by Association over the grease paint stick, the zoom lash mascara, and Amorous dazzleglass creme (gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous) over burgundy lipliner (all of which I purchased except for the mascara). Once the grease paint stick is set, you're right, it won't budge, but there is a little more leeway that many of you have been led to believe. It was creamy, easy to work with, and very blendable.
I also got the 214 brush, black knight lipstick, blackfire l/g (beautiful to darken up pretty much any lippie or liner!), and Sublime Shine Dazzleglass Creme. I can't wait to play around more

Love Bing! I have 2. I looked at them side by side on my hand and Bing is more of a dark plum/eggplant/aubergine where NV is more of a red-based purple. Here are the official descriptions of the CoC mattenes. I think they should've repromoted Bing with this collection.

This morning I was goofing off (I didn't want to come to work) and decided I would do half my mouth in Bing, and the other in Night Violet (not top lip, bottom lip, I mean half and half) and it matched perfectly on my lips. I wore it to work, I didn't have lip liner, just some chap stick, and didn't use gloss, and it was full color application. It looked the same in artificial light and natural light. Weird! Sorry to go off topic again, but does anyone know for sure if your employer has to pay your vacation time you have remaining?

FWIW, one of the attorneys I work with had a deep deep frosty red on the other day... reminded me of Hipster. So if she can do that...

Which counter did you go to? Or did you go to the store? I live in Ottawa to and I wanna do my haul No.2 at around 6 pm (Rideau Centre FS). They better not sell out of stuff I want!

I'm pretty sure they do have to, if you have a bunch left it'll get taxed all to hell and back though!
I would definitely bring it up, maybe something along the lines of, "I have X hours of vacation pay that I expect to see included in my final check."
