I can pass on the chanel quad, even though I will def swatch it. Those lipsticks are must have though! There's no if's and's or but's about it. I looove chanel lipsticks and aqualumiere glosses. I was telling my friend today that after Mac and Chanel black collections, I'm done. All I have to do is build my mac and mufe shadow collections and get some mac cremesheens I've been wanting. Then I will be free at last. LOL

I am still excited about the Chanel quad and will reserve my judgement until I see it IRL. I have the Hysteria and Mania lippies and they are simply amazing. I don't usually do backups but I may get one for Hysteria.

There are girls who are quick to give a bad judgement just because it's not what's usually them. I see 5 of the same review than I start taking it serious but that girl had me dented but I'm giving it the once over for myself to see if she's right. Benefit of the doubt.

Ditto on the quad logic. I love IRL because there's no falsehoods of words or quick judgements. I'm my own thinker as well and wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes, I know people who love a certain brand can be tainted in their opinions of other brands. I have swatched chanel shadows in the past and thought they were beautiful. But when push comes to shove, I'm going for the lippies. My money is extra tight right now and I know I will get more use out of the lippies than the shadow. I am looking forward to seeing it in person though and hopefully having the money to get it before it sells out. I'm mad the new chanel highlight powder is sold out on their site already. What the hell, man?

My rule of thumb, is that if I'm unsure about an item and it's mucho dinero, I trot on down to my nearest counter to see it in person before I buy. I can think of several times when the item didn't live up to or exceeded expectations. Guerlain's Pucci eye set - I'm talking 'bout you!

I have 2 of the three lippies and I will say they are amazing. I don't buy Chanel often as my finances don't usually allow it but I will occasionally allow myself something from the line, usually lippies. I haven't regreted a single one of those yet.

Still have to finish buying Colour Craft's but I've been keeping to regimine with mild exceptions. So many collections and so little time before the website bumps the old to meet the new. I'm thinking Colour Craft may see CCO's so I've been staying on new releases but these are things I could wear to concerts and all. It'll be like going goth in high school all over again.

I've never tried Chanel anything. Well, I did receive a quad or something years ago but I re-gifted it (oops!!!). I've heard their lipsticks are really good though so I'll pick some of the dark ones. I got good feedback on my FOTD with dark lipstick so maybe now I'll be the dark lady, lol

I actually don't like MES but these black ones are so gorge! I really want 3 of them but I only have enough B2M for two so I have to cross one off my list

I don't own any mes - are they too chalky ? do they blend easily ?? i'm love with the style black collection mes but since I cannot purchase them on the store (i have to ask a friend that travels to us to get my mac stuff) I'm a bit unsure about ordering them '' blind '' ... well, I'll have to rely on your opinions

i think that mes are easy to blend with. however you get alot of fallout from them. i don't find them chalky either. the best way to use them is foiled with fix+ spray. limits fall out and intensifies the colour! win win!

I love the lime look you did and I'd never be able to get my lid exactly half like that....and I'm right handed and have to be careful doing my left anything. You always pull things off impeccably though.

awww....I'm so blushing
th_kiss.gif
you are so sweet...I love the dark looks coz it reminds me of my younger years when I used to rock all black, lol! Except I sucked at doing MU then. I would line my lids heavily and pack on black e/s. I even put black e/s on my lips, lol! I also used to dye my hair black and never left the house w/o black nailpolish, haha!

I love the blues and greens coz they bring out the green and gold flecks I have in my eyes. I have found these colours to work best

Quick Chanel Hijack-Back from my foray to the local Chanel counter. I talked to the MA who had just attended their update training and she gave me the following info. regarding the Noirs Obscurs collection, which she said they would be getting at the end of September:
Quad: It isn't baked, like the usual Chanel quads, but pressed. Like all of their e/s it can be used wet. Dry application would be pretty subtle she said, but wet it would be much more intense. I decided I needed to see it in person to see how intense the payoff is.
Lipsticks- are supposed to be OMGWTFBBQ!!!! type of amazing. I had her put my name down for Hysteria. She said they have the normal creamy texture like other Rouge Allures, but are really pigmented. I have Vamp and asked her to compare it, and she said whereas Vamp is a deep wine red, these are all black based colors, so the colors show up as very deep. To sheer them out she suggested using Chanel's Hydra Treatment to mix it with, but I think a non-creamy stick type lip balm would work as well. She also expected that these would sell out quickly, as they have a very limited supply ordered, but that could just be my counter. I may have her hold the other two colors as well, but I'm a bit of a Chanelaholic.

and they never got in the highlighting powder compact. &#$#@%#!!!!!
