So I am planning out the best way to apply black lips once I get my hands on this collection and figure that the best way to do it would be treating it like a red:

Making sure to first line my lips and create a good base for staying power and so that when the lipstick does start to wear off, it isn't as noticeable.

BUT - what do I use to line me lips? From what I know there are no black MAC lipliners and none coming out with the collection. So I am assuming that I should use an eyeliner instead - but what type would be the best?

Suggestions?

Is the glitter in the MES sparse (forgive me my english, I don't know how you should explain this
winkiss.gif
) or is it thick and all over? In the swatches it seems the glitter particles are only here and there, but that might not be the case in person? Thanks!

Ugggh, I didn't want Night Violet until I saw that lip swatch. It's been at my CCO the past couple of times I've been there, so I may just have to go and pick it up next time I'm there... save myself the three bucks or whatever.

So right now, my list is:

Young Punk
Blue Flame
Cinderfella
mask
exfoliator
Greasepaint stick (and maybe a backup)
Blackware
Blackfire
Night Violet
Baby Goth Girl

MAYBE:
Midnight Media
Gilt by Associaton

...sigh.

I wasn't too impressed by the black lipstick and gloss but WOW, your lips are looking luscious!

I picked up some of the stuff there and went to bloomingdales since it was getting crowded... There one of the MAs put the black lipstick on me. Did you try it on your lips? If not I suggest you do so when you get a chance! Your video captured the whole event by the way. Very nice

This collection looks lovely and is totally in my range of color.

But (please don't throw stuff at me) even if the shadows are beautifull, I already have the same effect (or REALLY close) if I put reflects on my Black Black Chromaline, witch is smudge proof and waterproof too... same if I put a bit of let say Deep Thruth on it, looks like those Grease Paint stick.

That said, the gold one looks quite unique but I don't wear golds a lot. But Night Violet is definatly coming home with me! so nice!

Thanks for the swatches and reviews all.

graphblack (might stay on the best) or smolder. i used smolder for my leopard look on halloween a few years ago.

it depends on how you wear it. if you wear em dry, its about 50% sparkly. if you wet them, about 75%. they're definately more sparkly than not.

Man, I seem to be allergic to minerals b/c the mineralize skinfinishes break me have broken me out. However, I am considering buying these shadows and see what happens. It'll be on my lids instead of my face, so maybe there won't be a reaction. maybe that's wishful thinking. I have to decide if it's worth the risk.

Nothing is going to be thrown, I got your back even if you are talking about the one product I am most excited about the greasepaint. (smokey e/s here I come)

Oh, the Horror, allergic to MSF or MSF Natural. Where would my makeup be without them. I can't live without So Ceylon, Blonde, Warmed, Brunette or Natural in Dark and DDark.

not necessarily the minerals though. MSFN contains minerals, but it's not pure mineral. it's not even oil free iirc. i think it has jojoba oil

Do you guys think these MES will look very different from one another when they're on the eyes? In the swatches where they are swatched lightly (not foiled), they kind of look the same...

Well, lucky for me I have MUFE which I love to death. From the concealer to the foundations, that brand doesn't let me down. It's also freed me from the temptation to buy any MSF products.

I just know I can't use any mac mineralized products. Also, when I tried bare essentials a few years back it felt like someone poured acid on my face. No bueno. I vowed never again. I was sad at first, but I'm totally over it now.

I went to Mac today to pick up ricepaper and sketch and the MA showed me the whole style black collection. She booked me for an appointment on the 24th to have a MA do my face and walk me throught the look or whatever. I don't want my face done, but I can take a few tips on the lippies and I want to guarantee all my stuff will be there. She was so obsessed with the shadows that she continued to brag about it even after I told her I couldn't wear it. How rude. LOL
