aquavert looks soooo pretty and i love greens but don't knwo if i need it! not sure if it's been compared to warm chill before so sorry if it has... but are they every similar... warm chill is very poor payoff in colour for me - i thought it would show up ok on my pale skin but apparently not

*sigh* because of hello kitty my wallet has been crying for weeks now... lol... so i think i'm gonna mostly skip this collection and only get the lemon chiffon shadestick... but i'm SOOOO tempted to get the msf...

I saw this collection in person today at Nordstrom when I did my pre-order.

Here are my thoughts.

As most of you know I LOVE MSFs and I am getting these although I don't think that they are overly unique or special. Refined would be a good light bronzer (although a bit shimmery) for lighter skin tones. Perfect topping MSF is gorgeous with the lavender swirls but it makes a better highlighter than a blush as it doesn't give off much color.

The shadesticks seem to go on a lot nicer than before (even though I know that they are not reformulated). Red Velvet looks like a softer version of crimsonaire but was not overly unique. The only shadestick that really stood out to me was lemon chiffon as I think that it would make a really good light gold base for gold dusk and other pigments. Overall I personally think that the shadesticks can be skipped.

As for the lipsticks lollipop loving seems way more pigmented this time around (at least the one I saw). I still can't believe that lipstick is really a glaze. Sweet thing is a a nice sheer bright pink and a typical lustre. Bubbles is really frosty and pale. I don't know how someone could pull this off alone but it would look good over another lipstick. I didn't even look at St Germain or the other lipstick.

The nail polish is so cute. A true minty green and reminded me of the color of the double mint gum package.

Dear cupcake reminds me of sushi flower eye shadow. It is not very pigmented and kind of blah. Aquavert is just as pretty, pigmented, and easy to use as the Lure one. The eye shadow that really stood out to me was sugar shot. It is the closest shadow that I have seen to the coveted goldbit. Although goldbit is a touch more gold. It is a lustre (I think) but a GOOD lustre. It is so pretty!

The tri-glosses are sheer, sheer, sheer, sheer, sheer. Even the one with the magenta color doesn't even really show up. They feel more like the couture line of lipglasses as they are not really sticky. I can see why they are part of the prom collection as they seem more geared towards the younger girls who don't want a lot of color in their gloss.

So I ended up pre-ordering:

Awesome coachkitten! I'm lemming on both MSFs and Lollipop Loving. I'm thinking about getting two shadesticks and a eyeshadow from this lovely collection. Since you said that the Tri-Color Lipglasses are sheer, I'm skipping them. At first, Just Desserts excited me but then again, it let me down.

Thanks for the review coachkitten! I'm glad I can skip the shadesticks and Dear Cupcake eyeshadow. I'm still interested in the Tri-colour glosses though..

Thanks Coachkitten for the review!! Now, my list is cut down. I only want the Perfect topping MSF now instead of both and 2 Lollipop Loving. Have to see about the eyeshadows. I don't have Sushi flower, so we will see!!

Thanks, Katie!! I think I'm going to plan on getting both MSFs, Sugarshot e/s, St. Germain, Sweet Thing, and Bubbles lipstick. I'm still agonizing over the shadesticks. I love the hell out of my Beige-ing, so I'm thinking I may get Butternutty because I'll use it the most.

Warm Chill sucks. Aquavert is fabulous. Get Aquavert.

(I swapped away Warm Chill, but have Aquavert these days and am much happier about that.

Hiiii Katie! I have Goldbit. Am I going to want/need Sugarshot? Is it going to be amazing over Lemon Chiffon? *giggle*

Sadly, I still want the shadesticks and MSFs. Now, though, I'm really wanting another Lollipop Loving (especially if it's more pigmented!!!!

), am still considering Bubbles and am for the first time considering Sugarshot. Daaaaamn.
