Yes, inquiring minds want to know...hehe! I just recently picked up Greenstroke and I'd love to be able to easily pass on Cakeshop if it is similar at all. Thanks all for the swatches!

Then you can still get St. Germain.

So true, so true. I will be sure to do that b/c HE did change my list. Can't complain, he never has a problem getting me things, but its usually clothes or cute jackets, not so much makeup.

But he WILL buy Bubbles!

I have just been recently introduced to Specktra and I am amazed that there are so many girls/ guys like me who are OBSESSED with makeup and Mac. It's great!

Anyway, I have been waiting for SugarSweet to come out forever. It is very hard because I work next to a Mac store in Soho and live next to a PRO store in NYC. Constant temptation...

I am going to run over there with my best friend who is just as obsessed as I am so... so let's see what I come home with and have to hide from my boyfriend...

Nice to meet you all...virtually!

I know, isn't Sugarsweet gorgeous?? I'm getting so much!! haha

I'm new to Spectra too! Except I wasn't introduced, I found it when searching for make-up related topics...and I hit a GOLDMINE!!!

You'll love it here, as I already do. Now I'm just trying to wait for the 19th to get Sugarsweet.

I got to check out the collection today. The MA were playing with the testers that they got. Here are my opinons on it.

Aquavert: Very pretty green. I am def. getting this. The texture was really nice too.

Lollipop loving: This is of course a must. I couldn't see the green flecks in it but it had something duochrome-ish about it. I love it and it was so smooth.

Sweet Thing: Ehhh...it was my least favorite. The texture felt kind of grainy to me. I think it is because of the glitter in it but if you are into that sort of thing then you should get it.

Bubbles: I dont know about this one. I don't know how you would pull this color off on its own.

St Germain: This was very pigmented. It was bright pink. It is brighter than Snob.

Perfect topping: It is a light pinish color. I could probably only use this as a highlighter (I'm NC30).

Refined: This one is a peachy color. Not orange at all like Ernie said. I LOVE this one. The textures of both MSFs were really smooth. It was glittery either. Very sheen.

Tri-color glasses: Those were really pretty in the tube. It really did look like candy. I just wanted them because they looked pretty but I don't think I will be getting these. It didn't have very much color payoff.

Sugarshot: It was pretty sheer. Just a basic whitish color. I think you can find a better color than that.

Dear Cupcake: THis one was cute but I am going to pass. I'm sure I can find a dupe for it.

Well that is my update! I can't wait to buy my own stuff!!!

I don't think this has been asked (my search didn't bring anything up), so how close are Refined and Soft and Gentle. Swatches, anyone?

Thanks LadyJ you Rock! Makes me feel better about passing on Sweetthing, I think it might be a pretty color but for the amount I wear darker lipstick, I don't need anymore unless they're superrrrr special. I'm more into darker glosses on my naked lips. I like dark but sheer if that makes any sense.
smiles.gif
And good about my decisions on the eye shadows. I'm staying strong!
smiles.gif

But Refined is def going back on my list, between Ernie and you saying its peachy. I am in LOVE with peacy colors lately. Pink is soooo pretty in the pan, but peach seems to work on me for more subtle looking blush

I'm sticking to:
Lollipop Lovin
Red Velvet
Lemon Chiffon

I do want Butternutty, but it seems the least unique, so I won't get it. Cakeshop I wouldn't use as much, so I'm skipping it too.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome!

I just got back from the PRO store here and Sugarsweet is out in full force. My wallet is smoking...No more makeup for a month.

Anyway, I got:
- Bubbles
- St Germain
- Lollipop Lovin
- Cakeshop
- Penny
- Lemon Chiffon
- Refined
- Perfect Topping
- Sugar Shot- I loved it in the store, the color is a bit like Goldbit but now at home the consistency isnt as smooth and buttery as I like.
_ Two grand Duo blushes- Moon River and Love Rock
- Lots of perm line stuff too...I won't bore you guys with that here!

For a review of the other stuff:

Aquavert- Beautiful and smooth, I am not that courageous with colors on my eyes though. I feel like if you are tanner than I am that would look so gorgeous.
Dear Cupcake- I dont wear pinks on my eyes, makes me look I have pink eye!
Butternutty- Might throw away my Beiging and get this, much smoother and creamier.
Red Velvet- Beautiful if you like pinks, again I basically wear only smoky or neutral colors.
Nail polishes- did not grab my attention at all. I was planning on the mint green. i was hoping it would look like that mnt green from Hard Candy a long time ago. It didnt, it was a smokier green almost. Too bad Hard Candy no longer exists. I might have to beg Dineh, the founder for some old polish if she has any lying around.
Tri-Color glosses- Eh, too messy looking. I was planning on getting them but they didnt draw me in when I was in person. They kind of blend into all one color.

Sorry if I missed anything!

The MSF's are gorgeous, both of them! Love them both so much! Everyone needs these!!

Okay now I have to go hide it all from my boyfriend!!!

Closer to Peppermint Patty is OPI's Hey!Get in Lime. It's a very minty green.

Refined is gorgeous. I was worried it would be orange. It can can be used as a peachy/ bronze highlight or a very subtle blush for fairer girls. I prob will use this for an all over peachy glow. It is not over the top frosty, it has a perfect sheen.

I am very into looking glowy. I have very dry skin so oilies are never a problem.

Okay just swatched it on my hands for you.

Soft and Gentle is more frosty and has a more silver tinge to it.

Refined is a softer more smooth finish, and is closer to BBR's redhead with a peachy tinge.

Hope that helps a little bit

Now... i am thinking of adding Butternutty to my list as well. I crossed it off because I have Beige-Ing already.

I need to stop reading this thread before I add anything else to my wishlist... LOL!!!

Also how close are Peppermint Patty and For Audrey from China Glaze?
Today I got Pink Of Hearts from OPI and it looks like a pinker version of Seasonal Peach.
