MAC - Sugar Sweet Discussion

I got back from my counter with:

Peppermint Patti
Sweet Thing

Saint Germain

Bubbles
Just Dessert
Red Velvet

I sticked with my list and resisted Perfect Topping. I thought of getting Butternutty but it didn't swatch smoothly. Maybe I will go back for it if I like Red Velvet. Both nail lacquers are pretty but I only bought Peppermint Patti. I picked up the second last one.

I put up pics at the swatch thread. Dear Cupcake didn't have a lot of colour payoff and Sugarshot behaves just like a lustre. The good news is that the tips of the lipglosses of the testers were cut off so that no one could apply them directly on their lips but had to use disposables.

I hope this will be a permanent practice in my country now!

Ernie, i know that you have compared Redhead and Refined. Do i need Refined if i have Redhead?

Nunu, I think they are very different. At least on me they are, redhead is much more frosty and shiny. Refined is a very very subtle peach sheen. You can even use this as an allover setting powder. this is what I have been doing with it.

I checked out this collection yesterday and decided and I could stick with my list fairly easily. I bought Seasonal Peach and Peppermint Patti. I will go back for Lollipop Loving, Bubbles, and Butternutty another day (have asked my MA to reserve them for me).

The tri-color glosses didn't look as good as I hoped they would, hence I'm not the least bit tempted by them at all. Consume Me was missing at my counter too. Perfect Topping is very pretty, but it is also very very sheer (hardly has any color at all) - strictly for highlighting purposes on me. That was easy to pass. Refined looked kinda gold-ish when swatched (could be because there were a lot of gold veining in the tester). Sweet Thing looked pretty but it isn't something unique so I had no problem passing it as well. I will need to go back to try St. Germain, but it'll be released with Euristocrats II collection so it's ok if I pass it now.

Ok I have a question, and apologies if this has been discussed numerous times in the preceding 214 pages, lol.

What other shadows are you wearing with aquavert? I love the colour of it but I just can't get it to work, not sure what to pair it with, arghs.

I paired it with Stars n Rockets on the outer lid and crease, Aquavert on the inner lid

And Aquavert on the inner lid, juxt in the middle and Talent pool on the outer lid.

I have been out of it with my health lately. So please forgive me if I repeated this, I was really pleased with the new shadesticks. They really are easy to apply and didn't tug at all on my eyes.

The names of some of these products makes me want to go to the nearest bakery.

I did a look today with my new items. Red Velvet was a little bit hard to control because it is my first shadestick. I put Pink Pearl over it and it is gorgeous. Pink Pearl never look that beautiful over other bases.

I'll play with it more to get the hang of it. I love Saint Germain!

well sugarsweet launches here in 2 days but I have already purchased all of the shadesticks via the clearance bin/CP.

When this lauches on Tuesday I will hopefully pick up the following:

Perfect Topping MSF (only if I can find one with lots of lavender)

Sugarshot - maybe, depending on how this lustre behaves.
