I tried Just Dessert today. It is sheer but shimmery, quite pretty. The colours have mixed a little. I'm disappointed that the applicator is a sponge tip. Since the gloss is sheer, brush tip would have been better.

I love Sweet Thing.

Bought it, and I love it. Though I'm in NC 35/37

Talking about SG, I saw this pic of Rihanna and I thought she is wearing SG. I don't know. It looks beautiful on her.

I tried on St Germain today, and it did not look good on me at all. I'm NC35. I also tried on Sweet Thing, but it reminded me too much of Pomposity (which I already own), hence I'm going to be passing it.

I don't know if it's because of the recession, but I'm very surprised that none of the MSFs are sold out at the counters (I visited 3 counters today). The only item that was sold out everywhere was Peppermint Patti.

MrsRJizzle-I didnt use a blush with Perfect Topping...I mean even just to highlight my cheeks, I didnt see anything on my cheeks....at all. Not a hint of glow or shimmer. It was weird, plus there was no lavender in it. Even using the lightest stripes in my BBR msf's give me a nice glow. I returned Perfect Topping

Butternutty is awesome, I LOVE it....its so smooth and great. I just love it.

Anyways, Im going to go back to shopping online for MAC....I keep buying things that I dont even want when Im in the store...

Ahhh, Im sorry it didnt work for you.

Its crazy you got no color at all! I think the MSF's really can be hit or miss since they are all SO diffrent from each other. MY perfect topping has alot of lavender in it so It really shows up but for example the refined I tried on in the store gave a tiny light golden sheen for me a perfect highlighter. But the refined I bought... COMPLETLY diffrent. It has so much coral in it I cant use it as a highlighter it has to be a blush on my pale skin.

What's the verdict on Cakeshop? Some say it is streaky and creasey but I want it to go with SilverThorn, but if most say no, will take off list but will get butternutty instead.

Cakeshop is a little more tricky to apply, but it's just so gorgeous all on its own. Butternutty is a must have imo, since it makes an amazing base. I just bought a back-up of this.

I have been using these shadesticks daily since getting them, mostly Butternutty with Sugarshot over it. I alternate between Aquavert and Dear Cupcake on the outer third of the lid and the matte dark brown shade from the Smoke Signals quad, I can't remember the name, but it looks awesome just on the outer corner with the Sugarsweet shadows.

I hauled! I hauled!

The only things I was interested in looking at were the shadesticks, MSF's, and Sugarshot. I didnt even bother swatching the other e/s or the lipglosses.

In fact, I was quite happy I have all of the shadesticks on the way to me, I wasnt disappointed with any of them!

Sugarshot was a typical lustre when I swatched it, but I liked the colour and I knew that people had given mixed reviews as to whether this was a good/bad lustre so I figured I would take my chances and pick this one up. I was sooooooooo glad that I did!! I swatched mine on the way home in the car
lol.gif
and it was much nicer - closer to a frost than a lustre

I also picked up Lollipop Loving as B2M - that was a peachy no-brainer shade for me.

Out of the MSF's my clear preference was for Perfect Topping which was confirmed when I swatched this one. I said to the MA that I wanted one with lots of lavender so we proceeded to go through the drawer to pick out which one I wanted
lol.gif
We got all the way though and the last one in the drawer (right at the back) was absolutely LOADED with lavender... only one small cream patch, and some peachy veins through it as well
greengrin.gif
I was soooooooooo happy!!!!!!!! Swatched it on the way home too and got plenty of colour
greengrin.gif
Love the texture of this MSF as well - absolutely gorgeous

The other thing I picked up was the Line Filler from Colour Ready. I swatched this and liked how it felt on my skin so figured for AUD$35 I would give it a go

This weekend I swatched the shadesticks and these are soooooo much nicer than the original shadesticks. They're creamy without having to blow hot breath on them, rolling them between your hands, sitting on them, putting them in a microwave etc.

Sadly, i'm broke and I couldn't buy anything. SEND ME MONEY!
