Yep, the finish is the reason I'm skipping RH too. I have several Retro Mattes (the Riri ones, FOF and FOD). Much as I love the colours I hardly ever reach for them. They make my lips look like they've shrunk in the wash.

Ladies how does Steady Going compare to Pink Plaid colourwise?

i have both, but not with me at the moment, sorry!
steady going is a retro matte so on me its needs to be warmed up by wiping a bit on my hand first..and then a few layers to get the colour even
colourwise, pink plaid is way more muted/dirty and a bit darker. steady going seems lighter and louder. it goes a bit in the direction neon, but not nearly as much as candy yum yum.

RMs are a drier, more matte version of Mattes.

Isn't Please Me a normal matte? Or are they changing the formula?

I am really glad Studded Kiss is now perm because its one of my favorite reds, but I rarely used it in order to save it. Now I can use it as much as I want. Now I have a back up of Instigator that I don't need LOL.
