I think Persistence is more cinnamon and not as pink as Whirl...though not as cinnamon as I imagined.

Okay thanks! I love Whirl and it leans more pink than brown on me. So I'll skip Persistence until I see it in person.

It is a very dark, somewhat cool brown, like a true dark chocolate bar. I may go back for it because i think all the really dark browns i have are warmer toned. I will just have to remind myself not to eat the lipstick out of the tube :haha:

Film Noir is definitely redder in comparison... AV is a neutral brown I'm guessing

I wore Whirl today and it was awful on me. There is zero pink in it on my in NW10 skin tone. I don't have Whirl liner but I'm going to try it with Soar at some point and see if that helps. Otherwise I am so disappointed

I did an online chat with MAC today and asked about Whirl if it would pull brown on my NW20 skin tone and she said that it would be darker and pull more brown on me. Sad as I love the liner!

Girl, I have been out of control since I joined Specktra. I ordered the VG2 gloss the other day too. Then I had the nerve to order a pair of shoes and pocketbook today. I'm gonna have several seats now. Lol.

It is! I don't know why I pictured it being like Pander Me from last years matte collection but it doesn't seem to be. Kinda Sexy and Please Me are nice too. I also like Whirl.

hey ladies do you feel like "men love mystery" is a must have? i finally get to place my order but i've seen people compare it to up the amp! is it really as similar as it looks?

A must have? No. Not really. I think it is similar to RiRi Boy but it's a creamy matte. I don't think it is that close to Up the Amp.
