MAC - To The Beach Discussion

I think part of the frenzy is that MAC had pretty good marketing this time around. Not only were the addicts like us going crazy for Marine Life, it was also the featured "must have summer product" in many fashion and beauty magazines for the last couple of months.

yes i saw it mentioned in a couple of us magazines when i was in the states... although one said to use it all over your face to get a summery glow.... erm... i don't think so!

I think the hype reached it's max status because it was first released internationally and then they just had a few release parties. So most people had a chance to look through the products and swatches and it just built and built.

I also noticed today that O.P.I - Girls just wanna play is 95% identical to scorcher. Except o.p.i goes on much more opaque and is a tad redder whereas scorcher is more neon pink/coral highlight mix. I prefer the o.p.i one to be honest but macs is a lovely shade

This collection is selling out super fast! Its a really nice collection, and I am getting the 3 things I really like so now I can start thinking about getting Stereo Rose! haha

I know! I wasn't taking any chances though - I got up early and on to the computer to place my order

so excited to get my stuff.

Oh and the beach tote IRL looks REALLY nice!

Its doesn't look cheap and I love the handles. Its not as flimsy as a straw tote so it'll last longer and the heavy-duty bottom will help keep the shape better.

I love sharp, rated r, lucky green... those types of greens.
They are most flattering on me (brown eyes) on lower lashline,
or inner tearduct.
If you don't have one of those greens, I think you should have one in your life

I wore Sharp when I first got it every day for a couple of weeks, and I never wear the same color more than 2 days in a row!

When I got lucky green, I went even more crazy for that look.
So, even though I have sharp, rated r, and lucky green, I am tempted to get darned sweet and punchy. dangit. I will be strong though.

I lol'ed! I tried using Shimpagne all over my face for a glow...I got a glow alright, looked like I shoved my face in a can of Crisco!

soooo the ones going to the warehouse sale...are those cdn or usd prices? cuz i'd totally love to get the freaking luster drops but i know i shouldn't buy them now since i can barely afford the rest of what i want!

i don't get why the pro discount isn't allowed online yet every store has said it's available? wtf? hope it gets sorted out.

Mac sent out my order with Marine life in it. So im assuming, if you didn't get the backorder email yet, you will probably get it in the first bunch sent out.

just did a live chat and they say pro discount is available on to the beach. So maybe call MAC Pro and see wtf is going on? To the girl who already ordered--maybe they'll edit your order? Or credit you?

they send out postcards really randomly. i have been buying from the site for about 5 years now and i've only had about 2 postcard mailer things. they don't even do it on how much you spend... it really is that random!
