Will sand & sun show up on medium toned skin? I really like the color in the pot, but when I swatched it I couldn't really see anything against my skintone. I am wondering if I just didn't apply enough of it.

Most of the Nordstroms around the bay area, ca sold out of ML the day they launched it (wednesday), just in case anyone wanted to know. I asked one of the MAs if he could track down where any would have it and there was absolutely none. Also, Hipness was out at most of them as well, I had to order one through the store and have it delivered to me. Blah!

Did you try the cream bronzer at all? I'm oily too, but the cream becomes almost a powdery finish very quickly. That's why I got it. It is honestly the coolest textured product I have. It wasn't on my list at all, but I think it's the product (besides ML) I'm most excited about right now!

I had pre-ordered at Nordstoms also and they ended up cancelling my order. Of course they had sold out of Marine Life already. I was NOT happy about it but fortunately I had already pre-ordered a Marine Life at the freestanding store in the mall. Then I went to another mall the next day and bought the other items that I had on my "want" list. I ended up buying a backup of Marine Life because the MAC counter in Macy's still had 10 in stock!!

I will probably never pre-order from Nordstoms again. This is the second time this has happened to me. I'll stick with the freestanding stores.

OK so I found Thrills and this one particular counter has several left I go all of the eyeshadows except for Humid and Shimmermoss. All I need is the beach bag now and they tell me I have to go to a MAC store for that. Oh and I picked up the 131 finally...left the 130 behind because I love my 188 and 109 right now.

I just swatched them on the back of my hand yesterday...but I'm going back today to have makeup done and I will have her use the cream bronzer on me. I'll post later on with my thoughts on it.

nope, no bids. even if an auction fails because of a reserve price not met, completed auctions still show how many bids there were and what the auction ended at.

and most auctions have been finishing at less than $50. there are some posted with starting bids of 50+, and quite a few buy it nows out there at 60 or even 70, but most of these don't have bids. if people are putting reserves on items, it looks like it's got to be a reserve of 35 or 40, because i've seen a few sell at ~35 or in the low 40s.

Kind of a sleep-Mac ordering episode I guess. I will blame it on that. I wasn't conscious, and it was not my fault! Sounds good to me.

I've done that myself so many times, I love dream orders! I've decided that sleep-ordering doesn't count as real money anyway. It's just like eating/nibbling while cooking a meal...no calories!

California Dreamin is probably the closest to Lazy Day. They do look identical in the tube, however, Lazy Day appears to be just a tad pinker & the color payoff is different. There is something in Lazy Day that tones the lip color down & makes it an almost nudish natural pink on. California Dreamin doesn't really do that.

Thanks so much! When I picked up my two TTB items yesterday, I didn't swatch any other items because it was my mom's birthday & I wanted to get her a new blush for her birthday, so I concentrated on that instead. I'll have to see how LD looks on more pigmented lips like mine.

I have really pigmented lips
ssad.gif
which always seemed to mute the pinks in other lippies or needing to use lip erase or a lip pencil - but I do not have to do this with Lazy Day. I hope you like it

The whole rest of my TTB order is out for delivery. He's always so darn late in the day & its stinking hot. When I got my LD lippie yesterday - it was sweating

so I had to put it in the fridge for awhile.

Ok, I'm mad.

I ordered online on Tuesday, and my shipment finally came today. I had ordered Marine Life. I did not get it, the recipt says the item was unavaliabe and that portion of my order was cancelled.

Ok, so I am mad because I never got any advance notice of this, and I was at my mac counter yesterday and they had ONE ML left when I got there, but did not get it because I had thought my order went though (it had even shipped by the time I got to my mac counter).

A CANCELLATION EMAIL would have been appricicated. Now there is no way I am going to get that thing. Damnit!

I just got home from a photoshoot at the Pentagon for a friend with his special Vet tribute car and will read through the pages I missed but I also wanted to say that I used Sand & Sun today and like BEA2LS said it shows up as a nice peachy color but on the brush you think you're not gonna get any color! I used Sushi flower on my inner 1/3, Romping in the rest of the lid with some Plum Dressing in the V and used Sand & Sun to blend up an on the brow. It really looked nice!

That sucks, if you really want it definitely check the clearance bin here, there's a few people who bought extras for people where who aren't able to get them. They usually us ask that you pay the regular price and whatever the sales tax/shipping fees are.

I totally agree on your point about oily skin and the creme bronzers.
I have an oil slick for a face (thank goodness I found UD oil slick in a tube).
I've never even used a creme blush because of the oily skin factor, and I always thought it would wipe off foundation.
But, I've worn it all day. And it still feels yummy and smooth. No oilness from it; no shine.
It feels like a velvety, really good primer. That's why I wish actually I could find a foundation that felt like this. I mean, I REALLY love how it feels.
I'm feeling a little dorky how much I'm going on about this, kinda like a
dapimp.gif
(ok, so actually I just wanted to use that smiley!)

The way I wore it today: right after foundation, I used the creme bronzer with a brush (kind of like a 187, but stiffer bristles and wider head). I applied it in the area from countour, cheek and slightly into temples. On top of that: Refined golden in countour, Marine Life on apples of cheeks.....
punk_.gif

I like how my cheeks look today more that in quite some time. It's just the right color for my skin, just the right tan look. It's not too glittery. As Goldilocks would say.. Just right.

OH no. That really stinks! A notice would have been helpful!
I hope you find one here or somewhere.

Since my makeup uniform for the summers consists of only lipstick+mascara+foundation(just not on the forehead)
I'm thinking of becoming a blush addict.

Help a sister out peeps, I'm a noob to blush !!

BTW I used the pink side of Marine Life to highlight then the coral on my cheeks. It looks nice and the shimmer doens't even show.

ETA sorry for those who missed out on Hipness and Marine Life. I'm on my way to pick up my paycheck so I'll be a good Samaritan and stop by a few MAC stores to see if they have any, so you guys won't have to pay evilbay prices (because it's really not worth it)
