MAC are awful with their customer service at times. They should be bending over backwards to fix the problem that they have caused.

Do you think my blushes will turn up then? I ordered them yesterday from MAC... they're still in stock - pink tea and peony pink.

Yours will probably turn up, whereas those who ordered on Tuesday as soon as the products appeared on the site won't get theirs, most likely

You'd think so eh Wish? I'm sure they will turn up fine Wish. The re-order they were going to process for me may have been fine, just didn't want to wait around in case it wasn't :(

Postage is so expensive these days, isn't it? We in the UK are facing a huge rise in postage costs at the end of this month - first class letters, for example, are going up from 46p to 60p!
I think posting a letter in Australia is $0.60 minimum and sending a package under 500g? Thats $6 something.

My sister lives in Australia (Brisbane) and we try to buy lightweight Christmas and birthday presents, but it often costs more to send than the actual present cost - crazy! I know the kids like to receive presents, but I think we're going to have to agree to stop sending stuff

This is why I prefer to order from Debenhams plus I get points. I've never had a problem with them *touches wood*. MAC drive me nuts when things go wrong because it is such a pain to get it sorted out. I hate calling them to complain.

I got all my goodies yesterday, got to play with them a bit this AM. I'd gone slightly beserk - got all 6 blushes plus Pink Cult.

I love all of them except Immortal Flower and Pink Tea, which I just like rather than love. Neither of them show up all that well on me (NC20-25) without packing them on, but once built up they look nice.

Peony Petal reminds me of a slightly lighter and less-intense version of the lighter side of the WW blush Amazon Princess. I have AP as well, and it's a bit of a pain to use as it's SO intense. And it just broke in my bag yesterday so I can't take it out of the house anymore.

Before I went to the store I tried on FoJ as a blush and eh-now as a highlighter to a purple blush.....LOVE! Immortal Flower all but disappeared on my hand-no bueno. Lovecloud looked nice but wasn't a must have and just didn't even bother with the others. I swear my store only received at most 3 of each, don't think they received samples either.

The MA who helped me this morning mentioned that the store didn't get much stock in for all 3 collections (like 4 or 5 of each blush). I bet a few things will be sold out today.

Hope everyone gets the blushes they want.

OK, so I finally got my call back from MAC about the blushes. He apologised, and described it as a 'technical error'. When I asked what had happened (to see if I got the same reason/excuse as MrsB did) he told me that when they divided up the delivery to send out and make sure the stores got their supplies, there was an error and it appeared that only 4 were left for online sales!!!

He told me that they have now sorted this out and my order is set to go out tonight (hopefully). He also said that there had been other calls as well, and it was because of this that their error had been discovered.

so i called my counter and this nasty MUA said that there is no possible way for them to hold items for me due to low innventory and high demand and gave this like nasty chuckle...which is fine...i understand that ..but theres a way to say things...especially to customers...i swear....the girls at some of my department store counters....*cough mac * *cough CHANEL* just treat people with no respect...they act as if they own the world...and everyone should bow to them...and yet...ive been out of state..and in the city also...the mua there bend over backwards to make sure you're happy with everything....i remember i went to the mac store in manhattan a few weeks ago...i wanted to try face and body...she must have tried on 4 different colors to see which one looked the best and i liked..then sent me home with a juicy sized sample....blah....oh well..heading to mac now...hopefully IF isnt sold out...fingers crossed...and end of rant..

MrsB....I am so sorry to hear that and I cross my fingers that you will get your blushes from Selfridges very soon!!!

I asked for the order to be cancelled and was told it would be but I won't receive a refund for quite some time due to the bank holidays. Nice.

IMO, it's more important to coordinate the contour color with the highlight to get the best (natural!) effect that emphasizes bone structure. However, when I don't contour, I try to keep blush and highlight in the same color family.

I was the first customer at my MAC counter this morning and Full of Joy was sold out. I had one put aside but wasn't sure so I tried it on first. It is really beautiful and quite purple on me. So happy I got one.

I picked up a lot of things from the collections that just launched but I'm still waiting for my package so in the meantime I wanted to ask, does anyone have an opinion of how Peony Petal will look on pale yellow-toned skin? I'm afraid I'll have to sheer it out to nothing.
OTT, but I have to comment your username. How did you end up with that? If you did add letters KI to the end of the username, it would be a Finnish word meaning white cap in other words the graduation cap. :)

However nordies gave me a backorder of 4/17 guess what! i recieve an email today saying it was shipped however did not get a tracking number. so i do not know what happened but hopefully i will get it.

I did the same thing and also got an email today with no tracking information, I think what happened is that they are shipping the free sample bag that was automatically added to orders separately since its not something that is always offered, they have done this in the past.

That's great news Rockin. It's completely ridiculous that there should be such a mistake and that customers should have to bring it to their attention though! Hopefully your goodies will arrive on Tuesday.

Well *touches wood* I've just had my dispatch emailf for all four blushes, and Modern Mandarin will be coming from mac (I ordered that separately yesterday and got a dispatch email today so that seems unaffected by MAC's technical hitches). My order from selfridges should be here Saturday - the postage was killer but worth it to have my goodies safe in my hands ;)
