If you can find one with a good amount of pink it's worth the purchase. I really love Rio and I'm NC15. It's a bronzy blush for me. The pink helps it look more natural than a brown bronzer. It reminds me of the Guerlain Nude bronzer, which also has a pink part in it. It's not the same colour, but it has a similar effect minus the shimmer/sheen.
I'm NC-15 too, and I like Rio the best of all the skin finishes I bought (Adored and Lust). It has such a pretty sheen. I agree with PDF: try to get one with as much pink as you can.

I got midnight mambo...I could have left it where it was...nothing spectacular. Bein a team purple sure does get me into some trouble!
I agree but i passed on midnight mambo
Midnight mambo is the one purple I've had to skip in a long while. between heroine, feel my pulse and my other purples I feel like I shouldn't buy it just because.
i agree thats why i passed on it too.

Any info/advice/thoughts are much appreciated!
I don't have reactions to the MSF formula specifically, but I have reactions to the dyes in various face products. Usually the mineralized blushes and MSFs, though.

I can usually tell if they will bother me by just swatching them on my hand. My skin will start to burn and/or get a prickly feeling where the product is.

Like others said, I would stop everything for a few days to let your skin heal, and then try the MSF on its own, the primer one day on its own, etc. Figure it out by process of elimination.

Unfortunately, I think I may have my own problem with Adored. I've only worn it once so far, but it gave me a dull version of that tight, prickly feeling all over my face, not just where I applied it. If it does it again, it's going back. I am surprised because it's always certain shades of pink and all shades of red that I have to avoid, not coral.

I'm the same way. I couldn't justify it, especially at that price, when I have so many other purples and purple-fuschia colors that are still fairly new and awesome.

If I see it at a CCO, I will try it out for the sake of trying the mineralized formula for the first time. If it doesn't show up, I won't feel like I lost out on anything unique.

I'm sure a lot of this collection will show up at CCOs :)

I'm guessing that too. It has not sold well at my counter other than the lip liners and, weirdly enough, all of the lipsticks.

Are you going to pick anything up after the fact at a CCO? I liked Dare to Bare MES. That was pretty.

I had less problems with my Tropica (the lone MES I bought) than I feared I would. Despite the glitter/shimmer, I've had very little to no fallout, even without primer. That was a pleasant surprise.

Nope. I found this collection is more suitable for NC complexions, but for my pale NW skin, it was too warm-toned. A lot of the products turn out muddy or dirty on pale-pink skin. It can work for NW complexions if you use the products very lightly, but IMO, it would be a waste. There are far better options for the NW10-20 range, thus I didn't feel compelled to buy anything. But I'm thrilled to see how gorgeous some of the products look on NC skin :)

That was unfortunately my impression as well once I saw it all. I was glad you had warned about Rio and the others being warm toned, because at least I knew going to the store that I was likely to have a problem.

I can pull off Adored, but I have to go very, very lightly with Lust or else it looks too warm. Rio was a hideous, warm mess on me, so that was a total pass. Skipped all of the blushes and lipsticks too.

You are right though, everyone who can wear all of these shades looks quite fabulous!

So yesterday I visited a store and I tried on Rio and Lust as well, just to see how they look on my skin.
The tester of Rio was already a pinky one in the store and I really liked it on my skin!
The formula of Rio is the best of these MSFs in my oppinion, very finely milled and silky soft and has a beautiful sheen.
I asked for a mostly pinky one and the SA was kind to show me all of them so I could choose. :)

Lust is really not my cup of tea. In the pan I find it beautiful, but I can't stand this type of rosy shades on my face I felt like if I was sunburnt. And I also don't like on my cheeks the big chunks of glitter, wich btw are beautiful cranberry ones.

Thank you your recommendations, I really like Rio, it looks really natural, a bit rosy-brownish on my skin, like if I had some natural glow to my pale skin. :)
