I'll be looking at them in store when they launch. I just wanted Heaux asap to compare to the original

Aren't a few of them online exclusives? Do they still launch in store then?

I think I've mentioned I'm newer to this MAC thing, so I might need a little hand holding here and there ha ha!

Yeah Heaux and I believe RR are online exclusives. No stores. Maybe get those two and wait to check out the others in store. I think a lot of us are doing that.

Any love for the LE lipglasses? I thought that there were two but I only see one on the website. They looked a little light/ nude to me. I 'll check the others out next week.

I wouldn't be lying to say all I looked at really was Heaux and QS  I like lipglasses but don't really buy them anymore unless it's in le packaging. Other than my staple Lovechild, my namesake :) I used to only wear them and other nude glosses and said around 2013 that I'd wear more lipsticks and more color.

My Heaux arrived! No pics yet, it's pretty late here, but I have to say I love it. It 100% feels like an Amplified to me, there is none of the tackiness I associate with cremesheens (and I have plenty of both finishes to compare). It is berry on me, not red, and just gorgeous IMO - if I hadn't got out of the BU game I'd seriously back this heaux up as I can see it being an everyday staple for me. Very happy I got my hands on this version - I'm not a retro matte fan at all, and amplifieds are my favourite finish, so this one is perfect for me. I'll still probably get D for Danger for a more intense version.

You're always so helpful, thanks for that!
My pleasure :frenz:

I need to get DfD too! Layering would be perfect. It softens up the rm version so it should do the same with DfD. My issue is this Heaux doesn't do much with my skintone to me with that finish. It's just there. I love nudes/neutrals in any finish, but colors have to be either very pigmented matte/satin or high-shine glossy. If this were more glossy I can get with it. I don't know if everyone is familiar with NYX's Intense Butter Glosses, but either like that or less opaque but high-gloss like a lipglass.

It's a cremesheen that's why

Ha! I just won't stop. But seriously, I love my Happy-Go-Lucky from Playland! Such a great color and feels so nice on the lips. PT looks nice on you.
But it doesn't feel like a cremesheen either. It feels like Pure Heroine, which was amplified and a disaster as far as slip and feathering.

Maybe I'm missing a joke :p

Monty im late but yes my heaux is amp'd which is better than expected cuz I was merely settling for the crème finish!!! I'm not so bad about not havin OG Heaux anymore (but im still mad it was TAKEN **cue Liam Nielson to find it**) but since I have DofD im good with layering!!

machotmess.com they crack me up. Sorry but yesterday I went to a MAC store and saw those Cremesheen Pearls in that bright lighting and that's wtf my Heaux Pt. Deux looks like with the little flecks of glitter/sparkle.
I have an Amplified (Peach Beige from PL), and yeah, it has that fine glitter/sparkle just like the Creemsheen and Pearls. But the consistency of the Amplified lipstick is thicker and much more opaque than a Cremesheen. Also in some of your swatches of Faux Heaux I could swear it had a Frost quality, like that Which Witch, which is also an Amplified. It really seems like MAC alters the Amplified formula across different lipstick shades

My Heaux arrived this afternoon, and I really like it. It's a lovely color, more wearable than I was expecting, and unique in my stash. I don't have OG Heaux, so can't compare the formula, but this one was creamy in a good way and wore nicely. Very glad I picked it up. Now I need to check out DfD, just for the comparison ;-)

Okay it's Amplified like MAC says! I surrender! :bouquet: All I know is my Heaux falls on the less opaque end of the spectrum in the Amps I have. It's pretty sheer. Happy Go Lucky was my first Amp and I was so in love with the full-on color and formula. Faux Heaux doesn't look or make me feel the same. I ain't mad at her though...l'll wear her over liners and other lippies.

You're not a bit wrong about the opacity. I had the same trouble. @AdelieDragon was right when she said it's like Pure Heroine. My Pure Heroine is not very opaque and slippery. Royally Riotous is similar but it's easier to pull off as it's a neutral. I really think they've changed the amplified formula. :(

Maybe it's that dark shade? Because Make Me Gorgeous is nice. I have Pure Heroine and wore it like once because of the same issue.
