when i first got the lipgelees with lillyland, i couldnt go and see them in person, it was online only here, so when they arrived they so werent what i thought, i actually didnt like them. i dont like to wear them on their own, only on top of lipsticks.

using it thinly ontop of a lipstick tones down the crazy glitter

I'm thinking of getting Resort Life Lipgelee since I regrettably skipped since Lillyland didn't draw me in at all. I'll have to do some altering on my list when we get more swatches.

Looking at swatches, does anyone think that these beauty powders could be anything similar to the ones that came out with Barbie Loves MAC?

Since FF is over for me, I am all over this collection, now. I promise myself that I won't even attempt to buy any cosmetics until this comes out. This will be a challenge for those like me who can't go into a drugstore without buying a nailpolish or even if it's a cheap $1 eyeliner. A lesson is self-control is coming my way.

^ I was thinking the same thing. I need to not buy ANY make-up until then. But the longest I've gone without buying make-up in the last year or so is only about 2 weeks. Sad, right?

I won't be buying anything until VV either- after B2Ming for some FF lipsticks, of course. But, I have cut back VV a lot, so there may be some wiggle room.

No.

If I go a week without buying some form of cosmetics, I swear I don't have other products and nothing to wear on my face, this is a complete and utter lie but I need some sort of justification. I have to lie to myself, helps get me through the day.

I will wait and swatch this before I really decide, but I'm leaning towards "pass".

I am buying Strange Potion lipglass. Temptalia doesn't recommend it for dark skintones, but I have a strong suspicion it will work.

recommended or not, I am definitely gonna rock it!

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I have a pretty good idea of what I'm getting from this collection. The only thing that keeps jumping on and off my list is BOA blush. It seems to be incredibly schizophrenic - it looks different in each and every swatch I see! If it's more on the bright pinky/reddish side, I want it for sure (kind of like in the swatches from HerGreyness). If it's mostly coral, though, like in Temptalia's swatches, I think I'll pass. I don't really *love* coral cheeks on me and I have Hipness blush from TTB, which I know isn't the same but should satisfy my coral cheek urges just fine.

Pretty sure I'm getting everything in Maleficent's part of the collection, minus Violetta which I just snagged on the Canadian MAC site. I'm happy to get it for a little cheaper now and without the character on it.

As for the rest, I'm getting:
Wicked Ways
Strange Potion
Hot House
Vile Violet
Truth & Light

Let's see what changes between now and when the collection comes out, though! haha

you'll be able to- trust me.

music is the one thing that overtakes music/makeup as far as hobbies/obsessions go.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I know I really shouldn't buy any make up until this comes out, but that's just not possible. I will, however, control myself. Maybe just a couple of shadows and one or two lipsticks. That's all I really want anyway. Chanel is calling me.

I'm more excited about this collection now. Still not loving the packaging, but whatever!

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Erin, or anyone that can help,

Temptalia says that Vile Violet and Indian Ink are "similar, but Indian Ink is probably a bit darker and not as creamy".

Would you agree? How do you feel they compare? Which is darker or more of a royal purple? Does one apply better than the other? I believe Temptalia said VV applies very smooth!

Sorry for the questions

I really want to join a band- it's on my bucket list
lol.gif
My priorities are the same, btw. loved ones, then music.

I won't be getting the BoS, unfortunately. I never end up using them. But Loaded looks to die for!!!! I can't justify it for the one color
ssad.gif

It's weird b/c I like UD shadows over MAC shadows, but I use MAC more. It doesn't make much sense to me.
