I didn't want to buy anything...then of course I saw swatches...le sigh

I am so glad that i didn't get any of the MES from last year. The MES in the collection are right up my alley!

I notice that Temptalia raved about Strange Potion l/g and said that she hadn't seen a colour quite like it in the MAC line-up. It looks divine on her, but it does look quite close to Pink Lemonade, at least to my eyes. Anyone who's seen the product have an opinion?

it does look divine on Christine from Temptalia, but my lips are much more pigmented than hers... I guess I'll have to wait to swatch and see what color it turns on my lips.

I also wonder how French Quarter would look under Mauvement...

I'm thinking of buying Mauvement also.. Do you have it? is it a great color to have?

I do!
Personally, I love it.
I'm sooo attracted to gold-y, grey-ish, taupe-like colors like you wouldn't believe.
It's not chunky (for me) and it applies beautifully, especially while wet.
I put up a swatch of it on my hand (along with Bloodline) on the FF swatch thread, if you want to go check it out.

I too am on the fence as well on SP! I trust tempalia's swatches but since shes warm skintone and I'm pale sometimes its hard to know how it will look on me.

I'm also on the fence about de-vil e/s. I like it but do I NEED it. I dont use those kind of colors often. And I'm NC20 light brown eyes, soon to be dark red hair. What do you ladies think?

i think it's quite dupe-able so although i was going to get it, it is off my list now

i do think the colour would look ok on you though!

I've cut 3 items off my list: Heartless lipstick (because I'm not sure I'd use it), Briar Rose beauty powder (because I have Summer Rose... I know they're different though) and De-Vil eyeshadow (because I have Antiqued and Coppering and do not use any of them). The only one I'm not convinced is Heartless - maybe I'll change my mind and buy it after all, it's such a beautiful lipstick.

It looks so pretty in the bottle, but based on some swatches I saw I think it would just give my lips a hint of color.

But I guess it also depends how much I apply...

However, I think it would look great on you! I think you should rock it.

I was also skeptical about De-Vil and decided to take it off my list. I know I probably wouldn't use it and I think Coppering could be a good dupe/substitute for it.
I think it would look good on the crease though.
If you like it when you swatch it, you should get it.

Especially if you know you're going to use it.


Is it Sept. 30th yet?

@Luiza_T I say get it! It looks so pretty and not too OTT in swatches! You never know when you might reach for it.
