I really want to get some EL stock, actually. Seems like kind of a safe bet.

On topic: I think one of two scenarios will occur involving me and this collection. Either A: I will go to the counter to pick up my stuff and be completely underwhelmed, resulting in maybe one purchase, or B: I will see everything and my haul will at least double.

Praying for the first, hoping for the second.

I once got a sample of Melon and Naked pigment when I told the MA that I'd never tried the pigments before. I just finished the last of the samples yesterday... That's it, though. Including when I've dropped huge amounts at the cash, like for FF or SCF.

Yeah- I didn't get a sample when I spent a huge amount on SCF, either.

Are you supposed to ask for them, or do they offer? Because I honestly am not extremely bothered, just a little peeved. And I don't want to be a sample person who demands 50 when you're supposed to take 1.

we don't offer samples. if you ask for a sample, we will give you one. but only when we have cups. we're always out of them!

Not cool. You should have your card in hand when you go up to the register b/c some people just don't care if it doesn't benefit themselves. I have more points than I know what to do with and I have misplaced my card, so I've been letting it go. They really don't have any gifts that I want.

Oh and Mac really needs a rewards program. I've spent enough this year to pay off one of my credit card bills!

To me, the point of getting samples should be that you DON'T have to ask for them. They should offer. That's the only reason I got those pigment samples. I don't want to be the person who walks into the store and says "I shop here a lot, give me free stuff". Obviously, I want to be the person on the internet who says it...

lmao!!!

i myself offer samples of foundation or skincare to custies who are unsure or need to try it for a few days to see what it does for their skin. some of coworkers do the same. we'd rather them try it out instead of them buying it and then returning it.

we've been out of cups for a month now. image how long we'd be out of them if we just gave away samples. now custies that want to try a moisturizer can't because we have no cups.

I always have mine ready 'cause if I didn't, most of the ladies at the stores I go (I purchase from two different Sephoras, depending on the stock they have) will not ask.
