Rainy day in Vancouver, I went to the MAC store (good place to run away from the rain

- I like the rain, but after 10 hours going from one place to another carrying my umbrella, I was tired) to wait for a friend to go to the Art Gallery across the street. The MA was so, so, so very nice - they usually are to me, but she was even more and it was the 1st time I saw her working there.

The first time she said that Cantaloupe blush would look beautiful on me and if I wanted, she could apply it on me. But I was shy and tired and only thanked. She kept looking at me and insisted how beautiful it would be on my skin tone, but I only thanked and smiled... The third time she was like "Oh, can I try it on you?" and complimented my cheekbones.

I allowed and ended up buying the blush and was so happy she insisted... Otherwise I wouldn't have given a chance to Cantaloupe, because it looks so "meh" at the pan... It was funny though.

We were talking about other products and she said how she doesn't really like MSFs for mature skin, and skin with large pores. I gave her HerGreyness' tip: spray the brush lightly with Fix+ or water, and then use the MSF... It worked for me, so I thought it could help the MA. She tried in front of me and loved it.

Anyways,

She invited me to the unveiling party for VV (I had signed up on monday by phone, but confirmed the spelling of my last name) and she gave me an actual invitation - the paper I mean -, which I loved, it is so pretty! I'm not allowed to buy any more cosmetics/makeup for 3 weeks.

On the other hand, it is your responsibility to give the sales associate your Beauty Insider card or email address.

She was describing their plans and it sounded like so much fun.

i know! i'm not sure if the uk has launch parties... i think perhaps the london stores do... not that i am near a mac store to go to anyways

I've always wondered whether uk mac has launch parties.. but tbh, Birmingham definitely couldnt.. the Bullring counter is bigger then the actual f/s store!

If the UK were to have a launch party, I bet it would be at the Pro store in London (carnaby st)

I have asked for samples before & they have given them to me. I got samples of SFF in 2 colours to decide and some Moisture tint.

I never have my card. I just give them my email address and get the points that way. You can call their CS office with your receipt and get the points added on that way. Its not too late.

That's wonderful Luiza.. so glad you got Canteloupe.. it is one of the few blushes which I have a big supply of bu's..

and I am glad that the MA liked the Fix tip.. it works wonders

I've gotten samples when I wasn't sure about something like the line filler (no thanks) and lip erase (yay!). The lip erase will last me for ages since I rarely use it.

Anyway, back to VV...um...yeah this can come out soon. I didn't get anything from FF.

I think it's because we've had the information for so long- longer than FF. So it's kind of like taking one of those extra long car trips with your parents as a kid. You keep yourself amused and distracted for a while, but then you just get restless and start asking "Are we there yet?"
