But, buying MAC lip products is dangerous. At least, it was for me. Their lipsticks are my favorite makeup item EVER. EVER. Probably from every other brand, too. SCF was the first time I bought, and it started a real addiction.

Well worth it, though.

Oh oh. I'm NW20 with blonde hair and blue eyes and now, having seen a few more swatches, I'm worried that BOaA is going to look like sunburn on me... not a good look for the Australian summer!

so many reds this fall! not just mac, but chanel and nars just to name a few...i think i am going to wear red lips every day that it's below 65 this fall...i can't wait! some days it will be lightly patted on, some days it will be cruella de-villing

Nice!! And I can see how it can become a favorite thing to buy. I've just realized how a lip stick/gloss can complete a look.

It won't!! I'm blonde, blue eyed, NW10.... doesn't look like a sunburn at all! I don't even have to be light handed with it. It'll look great on you!

Thanks layla!!! It really is a great collection. I keep justifying my purchases by telling myself I am going on a non-buy for months after except I am still getting those 2 pigments from TT! lol.

Off topic, a chikadee flew in my kitchen window through a small gap this morning and kept flaping against the window to get out. When I opened the window, it made a little squeek. It was sooo cute and precious! It made me feel like Cinderella LOL!

I can't promise a no-buy, but I am going to cut back after TT.

And awwwww.... I love animals.

All we have in my neighborhood are pigeons and lizards. Not as endearing, unfortunately.

everybody enjoying their goodies so far? i made my final list last night. i have decided to only get the green mes - it would be silly to get both. so i can now get two of the nail polishes!

A few years back, I almost exclusively wore dark lipsticks. I wanted to rock the Gwen Stefani look because my hair is light blonde and well, a high contrast lip just looks great to me.

One thing I don't have is Gwen's darker skin tone and brown eyes, which is what makes her look so awesome in her bright reds and burgundies.

Anyway, my old boss looked at my darker lips once and told me, "Never wear that again." It wasn't a reprimand. He was kind of fashion-wise and thought it just made me look awful. Had nothing to do with what was and wasn't allowed makeup-wise in the office.

I then switched to some reds that weren't as dark and my MIL told me subtly that I didn't look so hot in them. Same with my makeup artist SIL.

But dammit, I want to wear Dark Deed like Temptalia does! I have NC15 skin, so it's probably way too dark, right? I'd probably be going down the same unflattering path.

I bought the Faithfully Yours Pro Longwear and it just looked awful on me. Very goth.

What do you guys think?

Hmm... I can't believe I'm actually thinking of getting Sweet Joy e/s. I know it's not a very unique shade, and I have it in the holiday set 2008 Intriguing Scarlet: Warm eyes... BUT I love that shade for highlighting. I couldn't find one I like as much as that one yet. What to do... what to do...

I just wonder if they are similar or dupes and do I need both of them........
