Why are all these girls scrambling to change their shipping from standard to priority? Other than getting your order faster once it reaches the delivery service (FedEx,UPS), I don't think it matters much.

I ordered quite a few items. If someone who orders one of the same things I do, and they use priority shipping, I don't think they would just take something out of my order to fill it.

I think it's because orders that need to be shipped faster, will be fulfilled faster, so even if you ordered before someone, if you chose standard they might be out of the most wanted items by the time they pack your box.

I ordered with standard. It might be disappointing if I can't get everything, but at the end of the day, it's just makeup.

I think a few pages ago.. lol I have lost track.. someone posted that the only way to really make sure you get your order filled is to go for 2 day/priority delivery.. otherwise they run the risk of being cancelled.

That is simply not true but, if they want to spend all night on the phone and be worrying about orders, that is their choice.. I have had no problems with this except for the madhouse with SR.. but that was just a total fiasco.

I was gonna make another order and get the melon pigment but its sold out already. oh well I guess ill have to wait until thursday.

Oh boy, I'm nervous now. I called the Pro store in NYC on Friday and placed my entire order, figuring there would be a mess to deal with on the website like with Stereo Rose.

Well, I checked my credit card statement online tonight and there's no MAC charge, yet pending transactions from some things I bought today at other stores were on there.

My husband says it's because they took my card # manually and it takes longer to show up versus swiping it, but what if that's not the case? What if they were flakes and didn't even process the order?

Have any of you had bad luck ordering from the NYC Pro store?

maybe so darlin, but if you have a confirmation, MAC will honour it -- unless they are totally out of something.. which can happen but has only happened with SR and ML (in recent memory). ML took almost a week to be sold out.

Oh okay

I think standard/priority is just the delivery service... like ground vs air... nothing to do with the priority of which orders are filled first. Like I said, does it makes sense to take away from a large order with standard shipping to fill a one item order with a more expensive shipping option? It's a personal choice, but I don't think people should panic too much if they can't get their shipping changed.

I am being loyal to my MA and waiting until Thursday..I want this collection so bad that I skipped the BOS 3 until Friday!
