Ok, I've never posted any pics on Specktra before so please bear with me! I *think* (let's see now) I linked to 2 pictures of what Toxic Tale looks like on me. One was taken with flash and one was taken in direct sunlight. Hopefully this gives some kind of idea as to how it looks on fairer skintones.
If I completely screwed this up... sorry! haha

So after rolling around in bed a few more minutes I ended up meeting my co-worker at MAC. They were EMPTY!!!!! And apparently only some items were allowed to be sold. Butttt I believe my MAC is having their launch party this weekend with makeovers, etc. And I remember my co-worker saying someone who worked there told her there was going to be this really big thing in the downstairs part of the mall with Disney, etc. But I live in Mickey's backyard (Orlando) so this might actually be interesting. IDK. But yeah, the store was empty, everything was in stock, etc. I ended up with Violetta, Revenge is Sweet, and Cajun cooling powder. And I tried on Prolong foundation and think I am in love....
As far as the collection goes I was kind of disappointed with the eyeshadows. I don't know, all the eyeshadows just looked like something I already have. The brow markers were pretty neat. I just waxed my brows yesterday though so... with or without the markers my eyebrows were already on point so they were pretty useless to me. The green polish I want. The pinky one is cute too. I thought I would want Bite of an Apple, but I didn't try it on my face. Maybe I should have. It looks like it would have definitely looked better on my face than my hands. And I just realized I didn't even try on any of the other face products lol. The lipsticks and glosses were really pretty. If only some of those colors looked good on me I would have gotten them all!!! lol. But I haven't been to MAC in a while so I was playing catch up with everything and there was just like too much stuff!!! Definitely going back on like Saturday!

Use it in the hollows of the cheeks & OSF on the apples
OSF has got to be the most beautiful pale pink ever imho! I used that, Heartless ls with IB over it just on the lip pout & did the white es with thin black eyeliner - I swear I looked just like Snow White
(prolly her ornery evil twin) seriously its beautiful!
Oh, & I still don't think Vainglorious is like Star Violet. I swatched them side by side

Find out if/when they are holding their makeup event for Venomous Villains. It is possible if they are having an event that they are holding some product for that. My counters event isn't until Oct 14 so naturally we are going to be holding a small selection to actually have products for the event. So I would recommend stopping in the day of the event if you are hoping to grab more goodies.

ok so here is my story, yesterday i went to MAC store and put a few things on hold. The MA called me yesterday before she left that all my things are ready and I can pick up first thing today.
So i go in the morning and the other MA cant find my stuff. after 1/2 an hr she goes to me "oh we were told to put back all the hold stuff", i am like what about all that drawer full of bags that people had put on hold? i said ok works for me, grab the stuff i want from these bags since you cant hold no more.
so she gets confused and calls her manager. who then looks and magically finds my bag.
I am sooooooooooo mad! all this took about 1 hour... i despise MAC Stores and their &^&^*^* CS attitude!!
On a positive note! i got what i wanted! hehe

Having learned my lesson with the Stereo Rose release, I dragged my behind out of bed early this morning to get to my local counter. One benefit of getting there early is that most of the testers were untouched. Yay for germ free lipstick! There are some really gorgeous products in this collection. As I was playing with the swatches, a few SAs from other counters came and gushed over how cute everything was. It was hard not to get carried away and buy on impulse. I came home with BOAA, Strange Potion, Formidable, and Bad Fairy.

They're renovating, so they've moved to a temporary space by the Georgia Street entrance. The whole store seems to be getting a much needed overhaul. They'll be open in time to lauch Tartan Tale in October.

Got back with my haul!

She said she was a bit late getting out the collection and was expecting me to help her unpack it. Does that make me an addict??
Anyway, I ended up hauling what I thought:

Didn't even touch Dr. Whatshisname. Since I was the first one there (and it was lunch hour), I swatched almost everything. Revenge is Sweet came out a raspberry on me which is totally not what was expected. All the swatches show it a milky pink. Since I could only get one, she said both colors were great but HH was
If you can afford both, get both!
Vile Violet: It swatched great on my fingers but when I went to see how it was on my hand, it didn't really show up. Sadly, HAI did, although lightly. Wondering if its because of the matte finish vs VP?
Sweet Joy-Ehh, pigmented but dupable
Heartless-swatched beautifully red on my hand. I also tried WW with it and my MA loved it. For me, WW appeared more red on my lips than expected, which was nice because this was where I thought it would be raspberry
Innocence Beware-mulled over this one, but it matched my skintone TOO much for me to like it (NW 20)
OSF-a pretty pink when swatched with fingers and even showed up on my skin but don't need anymore pink blushes right now
Strange Potion-can't help but say that my first thought was this is the one from Liberty of London. But it is a peachy/orangy color that can light up fair skin tones
Bite of an Apple-I have pinky undertones and expected this to be clown makeup..nope..pretty red/pinky color. I told my MA this would be gone by the end of the day. It looks good on everybody!
Dark Deed-I wanted this color to work on me for a really vampy look. It was O-ish on me. Those of you who are darker skintones will rock this color. I still love it on Shontay!
TT-GREAT color if you love bright colors. It swatched nicely on my hand..its a pretty red/orange. Reminded me of High 90's slimshine. I don't wear the latter much so didn't get it but it will probably work for everyone

I wore BOA today. I really like it. I like that it's matte, most of all. I can't say I love it more than Marine Life, though. I don't find BOA to be crazy pigmented. I wore it with the Cajun Cooling Powder, Strange Potion lipglass and just black liner and mascara. There's a crappy storm here and I was so exhausted, I couldn't be bothered with eyeshadow today.

Finally got my goodies today! It wasn't too busy at the Macy's MAC counter I went to (I walked in around 10:30am). According to the MA who was working, she got bum rushed this morning the second they opened, but it was mainly people who weren't able to get through online. Everyone else had pretty much preordered and had their stuff set aside waiting. The MA mentioned that she had wanted Bad Fairy since there was only 2 left, but once they sell out of a certain product or stop carrying it they're no longer allowed to use it. I had no idea- but I can definitely understand why. I'd be mad too if I loved a look on an MA that was no longer available! Learned something new this morning.
Anyway, she said that specific counter usually only receives 5-7 polishes of each color for certain collections, so they're usually the first to go.
Well, I caved and got all 3 polishes and threw in Vile Violet, as well.
After swatching it again, I just couldn't resist. I had this gut feeling that it would be one of those products I'd regret not purchasing. I'm ecstatic and in love with everything I bought. Considering this was my first counter preorder, I'd say it was a satisfying experience. Everyone was really helpful and excited- and looked kick ass all dolled up (saw some awesome looks with Vainglorious and She Who Dares)! I think I'm done for a little while...until Tartan Tale comes calling.
