You might want to call. Myself and several others here have received our orders with late or no shipping notice.

You know what's funny? Normally, I'd be totally bummed because Final Fantasy XIV launches today and I can't play it due to a lack of powerful enough computer, but since I knew I couldn't get it at launch, I've been much more excited for VV. I don't feel bummed at all!

Woohoo, my box came!

Not sure I like how MAC runs their site in regards to updating when orders have been shipped. I've only ordered twice from there, I don't know how you guys don't go crazy if you've ordered many times.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I've got some free time, so I figured I write my review and experience. Prepare for a really, really, *really* long post.
tong.gif

So, I got to the counter at probably 10 past 10, and there were, eh, maybe three or four people checking out the collection. And to anyone that said it looked like play makeup, there was a little three year old going crazy for all of the characters and swatching everything. It was pretty cute.
tong.gif

When I got there, they were already sold out of a few things. But, it was stuff I didn't really expect to go so soon. I think Hot House was gone, along with Her Alter Image. So, I got to swatching while my mother (who wanted to accompany me) got color matched for the new prolongwear foundation. This isn't really the right thread, but I will say it is a great foundation! Looks completely natural, decent coverage, and there's a nice glow to it.
greengrin.gif

After she was matched, the MA asked if she could get me anything and I said I had pre-ordered and she said that I was really smart to do so because stuff was already selling out. I had her pull Greengrease and ring that up (yay!) and I walked away with the fourteen items I had planned on. I didn't swatch everything, but I swatched a few things I was on the fence about.

Now for the review section.
th_DANCE.gif

Bad Fairy: Really glad this is the polish I chose. I haven't done a full manicure yet, but I did swatch it when I got home, and it is amazing. I find it looks really bronze-golden in the sun, but totally pinky-raspberry in the shade. It's SO cool! And the formula is really good. If you get the chance, I would pick this one up. I don't even like light colors on my nails, but this is perfect!

French Quarter: Out of all of my items, this is probably the least exciting, but I still love it! It is a really nice brown-taupe kind of shade, and the glitter is awesome! It doesn't look like much, but under Vainglorious... perfect!
pretty.gif

Vainglorious: This is leans a lot more brown than I thought. But, still very pretty. The formula is meh when swatched, but I think it'll be much better with a brush. And like I said, it looks awesome with FQ as a base.

Strange Potion: I'm so glad Shontay convinced me to pick this one up! (winkiss) Personally, I hated Pink Lemonade, just because it didn't do what I wanted. But, SP has this slight iridescence that I adore and IMO, leans pinker than Pink Lemonade. I haven't tried it on my lips yet, but this is gonna be a great color to rock on its own.
thmbup.gif

Toxic Tale: Scary!!!
lol.gif
jk, jk. In the tube, it does look kind of frightening for a NW15 like myself, but swatched, it's perfect!
heart.gif
It is a bold coral, but leans more pink on me. Don't be afraid of this one!!!
nonono.gif
It is surprisingly wearable sheered out.

And I swatched Toxic Tale + Strange Potion on my hand, and I'm agreeing with Shontay. I don't think it looks bad, but it really doesn't add anything. I think they're both opaque enough that they don't need to be paired.
yes.gif

Dark Deed: This was the dark purple-berry I was looking for!!! Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!! Kiss was right about the vampire feeding lips!! Haven't tried it, but it's exactly what I envision when I think vampire. And, pale beauties- get it! I think anyone can rock this.
yes.gif

Wrong Spell: I know, I know- everyone said skip. But, I couldn't resist. It is definitely a dark brown, but it has this incredible purple-burgundy sparkle that looks amazing in a sheer coat.
love.gif
Also, the packaging is bomb.
lol.gif

Heartless: In a nutshell, perfect red. Doesn't lean pink or orange, perfect undertones, just... perfect.
heart.gif

Wicked Ways: I believe it was liba who said this was pure sex, and right you were, girlie! It does go slightly fuchsia, but totally looks like the luscious cherry that I wanted. Also, you don't have to put it over Heartless, it is that opaque. Cannot gush enough about this one!

Bite of an Apple: I am *so* intimidated by this one in the pot. But, once you get it on, it is the perfect Snow White cheek. I'll be using this one this winter, but sparingly! I'd back it up if I could. I stepped out of my comfort zone on this one, but I'm glad I did.
th_DANCE.gif

She Who Dares: I already posted this earlier, but I was blown away with Greengrease + the green side of She Who Dares. My MA pulled one with a pretty big green side for me, and I am so glad she did. Those two = mermaid. That's all I think of, and it's indescribable. The blue side is nice too, but that green...
th_drool.gif
graucho.gif

My Dark Magic: I'm not even going to gush about this one. Dark purple + black + glitter? 'Nuff said.

Briar Rose: Maybe I'm the only one that adores this compact, but I do- I love it. This is just an amazing shade of pink. This will be the perfect cool pink blush. It kind of reminds me of a cool Barbie pink. I didn't think I would love this one this much. Gorgeous pink!

Oh So Fair: The compact for this one is so-so, IMO. I like it, but it should be on the blush. Apple? Hello? I'm getting off track... This is the perfect blush for pale skin!!! I may even use this all over very lightly. I can't say enough about this one. It's leans more coral than I would have expected, but it absolutely perfect.
heart.gif

Overall, this collection was perfect for me! Great products for purple lovers and fair skin, and I love everything I got!

Now that I have written a small novel (sorry!
blush-anim-cl.gif
) I'm gonna stop this post.

PS: I swatched Innocence, Beware! next to Myth, and Myth was just one shade lighter, but pretty much exact same undertones. I'll just B2M for Myth in a few weeks.
shrugs.gif
But it is a great lipstick shade.

I think it's a more traditional color. Bad Fairy isn't really brown at all though. It's more of a purple based fuchsia with orange. To me, the OPI screams summer but Bad Fairy screams fall. I'm glad to have both. They look closer to each other in the bottle so you can still stare at that gorgeousness with the OPI.

well, makeup is so subjective to likes, personal preference & ones own skin tone. For me personally, I loved the soft pale baby rose blushed affect on my face. It makes a beautiful contrast but its color toned coordinated to Heartless ls. I hope you end up liking it

Wore She Who Dares mes over Black Greasepaint and OMG - extremely noob friendly smokey eyes! I also test drove Truth and Light. It does feel wet on skin then sets really well. On NC40 skin it gives a candle lit glow. I hellllllla lurve it. Both MAC counters in my area (North Shore Mall in Peabody, MA) were empty and this was at 3 pm! While Nordies stock were very low, Macys still had 3 BOAA left. I almost got Strange Potion but chickened out since I already had Revlons Coral Reef. I know it's not the same but I still had to be a good girl.

I can't wait to play with My Dark Magic tomorrow!

No worries Roxie, I'm in the Nation's capital.

The stand alone store told me that they had put aside a few things for people doing the event thing, but that they had lots of stock left so I didn't have to worry if I came in first thing in the day.

haha @ the comb over.

It was so funny how it happened - im sure my face said it all. I was just about to enter my building and then this woman pulled back a fence and kinda backed [as the film crew have blocked every inch of the campus] into me and we both apologised to one another for bumping into each other. Anyhoos I stepped forward and who was waiting to come out..... Captain Jack Sparrow sitting on one of those golf buggy things

with a runner/or whoever by his side - going to set I walked right in front of him....like half a metre away if that. My face must have been priceless I was like 'OH'! Ohhhhhh!! Proper taken back. LOL funny thing there was nobody else around at that point except security and a police officer ahead too! I ran into the building all excited then was trying to take pics of a scene from a window - no pic of the main star though

Whoa, I didn't check in for a couple days and now I'm forty pages behind! Anyway... just got back from a MAC appointment to try out some VV stuff. I'm sorry these are crappy webcam pictures but I thought I'd share the look my MUA did on me. It looks a lot more intense in person.

Can't remember all the products but the main ones are:

My Dark Magic mes (both sides)
Her Alter Image e/s
Blacktrack fluidline
Creme Cup l/s
Bite of an Apple blush
Tinted moisturizer, a touch of concealer
The liquid powder! It felt so cool!

I ended up leaving work early and went to MAC to check out the stuff that was on my maybe list. I ended up adding some stuff to my online haul;

Bite of An Apple
Brian Rose
MCLP in Cajun
Revenge is Sweet

They were completely sold out of the polishes so I think I'm just going to hunt down the Orly dupes. My girlfriends doing a girls night tonight, dinner and then drinks at a lounge, its a perfect reason to play with all my villains goodies
