I thought I read that EL had some cooling powders so there may be some at the CCO. Also, the sweet MA at MAC told me it would most likely be re-promoted at a later time, so you may want to hold up on finding a dupe. Also, if you go in person, they may still have some at Macys or Nordies. They sold the last one 45 min. before I walked in last night (don't you hate that!)

I am super pale (NC15) and it (BOaA) does NOT look clownish at all on me. I did not have to do super buffing or super light hand either. It is THE perfect coral with a hint of pink. Bravo MAC!

Not at all. Tippy is a bright, hot pink & BOaA is coral leaning pink. They are different enough to justify getting both.

IB really wasn't very pigmented and too me seems more honey-brown colored (I only swatched on skin). It's a pass for me because not pigmented enough! Looked promising in the tube but bored me on the swatch. HTH

I picked OSF because BR really did not have the payoff in terms of pigmentation I thought it should. (Plus I like the evil queen's packaging better.) I think BR is more dupeable. IMHO of course.
Okay, I caved and got a small haul because I just paid a crap load of money to fix my brakes. Stupid car needs repairs right in the middle of 2 frickin awesome collections--what gives! I seriously wanted EVERYTHING except a couple blushes and Cajun powder because I thought they were too dark. But I restrained myself and hauled:
TT because this was too beautiful. Way more pigmented than VGCindi, in case you wondered and pinker and more pigmented than Vegas Volt. It was the stand out for me.
Sinister. I know its getting no love & it was a surprise for me how gorgeous it was in person. It looks doodoo brown in the tube but it swatches really, really pretty. Sort of a mauve with a hint of brown and sheerish but the multipearl shimmer was TDF! I think its the sleeper of the collection. If you want brown, it is not for you. For me, it was Naked Paris but more rainbow pearls, you know? Pink and purple and opalescent pearl shimmers. Love it!
OSF--Just looked so pretty as a BP. I plan to use it all over. It looks scarey pink in the pot, but it goes on almost sheer pink. My skin leans warm (NW15 here) but it was NOT too cool or too pink to use as an all over sheer wash of color to the face. Think Porcelain Pink without the shimmer and shine. Pinker than Flower Mist Dew, but barely.
Her Own Devices--I did not plan to get this and would not have but when I swatched it, it was love. Think Tahitian sand minus the too peachy tone and add a little hint of shimmer. It looks scarey dark in the pot, but swatches as a perfect hint of sun for the pale complexion'ed. I don't think it would work as a blush but as a highlighter or bronzer for the melatonin-challenged, it will be perfect. I know this will be a staple for me this winter to help me look less corpse-like.
BOaA--Could not resist. Its perfect. Doesn't really require a special technique like mega buffing or super light brushing. Went on perfect and looks very natural. Pale beauties, do not fear this. This for me was like Hipness but slightly more pink/red. Perfect coral. This should be made Perm!
French Quarter--I love this. Its a brown black with taupe shimmer. Swatched warm. I was a little disappointed when I put it as my eyeliner this morning because I could not see the glimmers. I may have to play with it a little. How else are folks using FQ? As a base or eyeshadow? That could work better. I do have to say this was softer and did not tug my lids like I was afraid it would.
I did not get Violetta because its perm, but I will eventually. I just didn't have the $$ after paying for new brakes. I wanted BR, but didn't get it, same reason ($$) and I think I can get soemthing to dupe it. I loved the red lippy, but honestly we are going to see plenty of those and I think I want to get a long wearing formula for that. I also loved Wrong Spell, but I am holding off on lipglosses because I have too darn many and need to use what I have. I really liked the coral one (but I think there are plenty of those in the future) and I have plenty of coral l/g and don't wear coral as much in the winter and fall. If I did not already have HotHouse, I would have gotten that one, because it is gorgeous.
Whew, I was lucky I did not spend more with this collection. I would have, but they were sold out of Truth & Light and the Resort Life gelee. Hopefully they will repromote the powder and we have plenty of gelees coming up with collections iirc.
