MAC - Venomous Villains Discussion

Her Own Devices turned out to be one of the best cheek products I have ever used! It is the first powder product I consider backing up. It gives me such a natural look, it's like I,B! in powder form, so perfect for me. I absolutely love it, I could just use it everyday and be happy!

I have no clue how long a beauty powder lasts if used few times a week? I'm terrified even by the thought I planned to skip it! This time addiction came to rescue.

Does BR come off as more pink or more purple? I was able to locate one at Macy's that's on hold for me, but I wanted to see what to expect. I don't wear foundation, but I'm guessing I'm about an NC50. I have yellow undertones as well. I have seen posts were people of similar shading love it, but I don't know there undertones - and I don't know if that matters or not.

Please help/enable - whatever way you want to look at it.

I'm NC 42 with yellow undertones and BR leans more pink maybe even pinky mauve but more pink on me it really is a very pretty color and was an unexpected purchase for me definitely try it.

Thank you! I'm going to try it. I love pink and the only other blushes I own are BoaA and Amerbering Rose, so it looks different than those. I can't believe I was able to find one at a counter.

Sonia84 - thanks for the msf tips! I think I am going to try BC w/BR and Notable blush tomorrow!
I looked @ BR and its more of a pinky slight purple color. its absolutely gorgeous! and I think anyone should be able to wear it.
I haven't tried any of the other bp. I have enough new MAC goodies for now.

hi girls - im new around here but a LONG time MAC fan! i bought 2 shadows from the Evil Queen collection about 3 weeks ago (vainglorious and vile violet) .... im wondering is anyone else experiencing wear issues with these colors.

ive found (i use a paint pot as a primer/base and its always worked fantastically) that vainglorious and vile violet clump together in my crease line within an hour or 2 of application and that the color of vainglorious (which is so rich and looks so perfect against my green eyes) fades to almost nothing within that same 1-2 hour time frame.

is this happening to anyone else? any recommendations for me?? should i go back to the counter i purchased at and ask for a new vainglorious pot (could mine have come from a slightly defective batch)

As of now, I haven't had any similar problems with Vainglorious. Unfortunately, I don't have a paint pot I can test it with, but it's been fine with UDPP for me so far. Really great, actually. I'm sorry yours hasn't been working for you.

Fiberluver, BR looks great over petticoat/or under and the Vintage grape Ombre blush Ive also been wearing it over Sunny by Nature... gorgeous i tell u!

i've never liked paint pots for bases. never. try a shadestick instead and see if that works better for you.

Looks kool, the default avatar isn't bad either. Just not impressed with the fact that, when you click on a thread it no longer brings you to the last page/post you read. I am sooooo not clued on what the last page was and can't even keep up.

I really really adore BoaA, haven't had a chance to play much with my BR since I got it. Tried Bad Fairy and Formidable over Military and it looked pretty good.

That happened to me too but it seems to happen only the first time you look at each thread after said facelift

So it should work next time you open this thread that way

I am so lame for waiting until now to get VV. I just wanted My Dark Magic and the other MES if it was available. I have been calling all the local MAC locations and none of them have My Dark Magic left. I really want it SOBS

I finally got my VV fix!

Today was "preview night" at our MAC store.. We could look at the collection and buy stuff, but the official launch is on Tuesday.. Of course I couldn't wait until then so I had to go early in the morning and I got all what I wanted!!

All the SA's had beautiful makeup on.. I LOVED the music they played at the store, it reminded me of Disneyland! <3 They even had the Evil Queen's cape and crown for customers to try on and take a polaroid picture xD

I'm so excited I actually watched Sleeping Beauty as soon as I got back home lol! ^-^
