I had spots on my chin from a breakout from a few weeks ago and the redness is much lighter and the bumps are gone. I mixed 2 drops with my foundation today and it applied like a dream-my foundation has never looked this smooth and blended before. I just ordered the Sweet Orange + Lavender one and I can't wait to try it! I'm so excited that these are permanent!

I know I am uber stoked these are perm! I really like my Studio Sculpt foundation now that they introduced this! My personal fav is the Sweet Orange and Lavender, enjoy!

I can't. I threw out the box and receipt when I got home. Swatching it in the store, I knew I was going to keep it. I went to put it on a few days later and I was like "Oh no". I rolled with it for that day, but I can't do it anymore. I'll wear it on a day when I want to be brave again.

Aww, that really sucks! I feel your pain... My 1N and 2N l/g from the N collection had the same thing and I got rid of 2N and have never worn 1N again, it just sits in my closet

So sad because I have Underage from like 2005 that doesn't smell haha

I think this really depends on personal choice and skin tone. Brunette and SBN would never work as "put on and go" cheek colors for me. For the neutrals, Warmed and Cheeky Bronze work much better for me. But if I'm in a hurry, somehow I always have a strong urge to put on Perfect Topping, because the color is very pretty and subtle and feminine, yet makes my face look alive and make my cheekbones pop in a natural looking way.

oops i forgot to mention, for my skin tone: P lol!, NC 44's and above!

I posted this elsewhere, but I think the stinky smell may have something to do with the color base as the colors are similar to the N. Just a thought.

I still would think that you would have some recourse to return it under the stinky circumstances

Elegant I have one of the oil samples and I refuse to use it. I think it'll be the equivalent to throwing acid on my face. I am allergic to minerals, so I think that says it all. Any time I tell someone that they go "really?!?". I need to toss my sample b/c it's just taking up space and no one else around it has the balls to try it either.

It's not like you're returning it because you changed your mind about the color you chose, it smells defective. Go to the store and tell them that it smells rancid and that it is NOT supposed to smell like that. If they refuse seriously file a complaint. It is not fair that these glosses are defective and they're not recalling them.

I have heard great things but the oil broke me out terribly. My mother and another artist who works with me LOVE them, though they have dry skin whereas I'm quite oily.

I am using the oils for one week now - and I have no breakouts! Yay!

I am so glad my MA convinced me this would be great also for combination / oily skin. All my winter dryness is gone!

Are you guys just using the oil with your foundation or do you use it other ways as well? I got a little clueless with the oils and had no idea what to do with them (that's why I didn't get them) but you got me interested now!
smiles.gif
How does it affect the foundation and the finish? How about application? Is it better to mix them and then apply it or put the oil first and then foudation? Sorry for the million questions! :p

If I wear foundation:

I apply my moisturizer first (MAC Moisturelush Cream), then mix my Studio Fix Fluid with one drop (just one drop!) of the oil and apply them.

If I don't wear foundation:

I apply my moisturizer first, then one drop of the oil with my finger, then concealer and powder. Works perfect.

In the evening:

First cleaning my face, then one drop of the oil applied with my finger.

Another way is to mix your concealer with the oil and apply both under your foundation.

HTH!

Susanne, do you use it in the evening instead of nightcream so the oil is the moisturizer then? Does it absorb nicely so it doesn't leave a greasy feeling for too long? Thanks for the tips!

Yes, I use the oil instead of a nightcream. Nightcreams are always too rich for me.

The oil does absorb very nicely as it is a dry oil - there is no greasy feeling at all - one drop is totally enough for the whole face. The skin looks healthy and feels soft, the Chamomille helps to prevent irritation or redness. This effect is still there in the morning.

I had a lot of trouble with dry skin between my eyebrows and next to my nose now in winter - nothing has really worked there, but the oil does.
