MAC's trying to make up some lost $ from MWanders, Champale which were economic duds.. so they went early on this one.

this is telling me I can't say give a thumbs up .. the new version of thanks.. for a post.. I am getting pod again

btw I did get a Russian Red ls, and the Spitfire ls -- both are great shades for me and I love the kitschy packaging.. lol
So, does that mean I will like Spitfire then? :)

I cannot wait to whip that packaging out at a restaurant

I am SO glad I looked at my facebook page when I did. I seen Temptalia said the collection was up and freaked out! I was like "Babe my Wonder Woman collection is online! Everything i want is going to be gone!" He was like "Why would they put it up almost 2 weeks before your in store appointment?"

For the first time he actually made sense when it came to asking a question about my makeup haha

Well I got Mighty Aphrodite. I almost ordered Marquise'd but I just got the blush. I have decided to try everything out in store before buying it but the SA at my local MAC said that by the time I made it into the store on the 11th they would probably be sold out of the blushes because they were not getting many. So I got the one thing I knew I wouldn't get if I didn't get it then.

I am still thinking of getting the Marquise'd and Spitfire lipsticks and I am going to test the colored mascaras. I think that is all I am getting from the collection though. I think I am going to get a green eyeshadow and a 15 pan palette.

I don't think that it was a mistake that Mac launched this collection a week early. I think it's a combination of what HerGreyness (our resident expert) said- that they need to make up for lost income on previous collections- and also that the collection has been getting poor reviews so far. The sooner they can get the collection out, the less people can be prejudiced by the reviews they read.

I have to say that I've added several items to my online cart and am wondering whether or not to press "checkout". I'm shocked at how many items I put in my cart just because I'm worried they'll sell out...

katred.. I got some numbers in on the Dec collex and they looked rather weak.. so, I am assuming that this is one of the reasons W W was released earlier.. and my math is rarely wrong.. that said, the packaging and DC image will sell this collex too.. but more slowly.
Not to say the Ebayers will not scoop up for future resale of the DC packaging alone.

I do think the blushes will go quickly tho.. so order those if you like them.

Elegant.. I do like Spitfire and yes, the impact of an old buzzard like me whipping out my ls with that packaging is worth the money !

Imagine the heads that would roll if it was a mistake. I don't think a mistake that big would really happen, but it would've been funny. This might help them make up for the dud collections, but I hope they know it's mostly for the novelty and out constant frenzy for what's new. If this sells out super fast, it's not for the quality (for the most part).

HerGreyness & Shontay- I would like your posts if I were allowed to.

Strange thing: Although I know it wouldn't suit me, Heroine is one of the items in my cart... I know it wouldn't work on me, but it looks so damn lovely in Temptalia's swatches... Even Musing's swatches make it look nice...

[/quote] I say you won't know unless you try it. It looks super hot on Temptalia and that's what made me consider it again. It's not just some crappy, muddy brown from what I can see. The only word I can think of when I see it is Fierce.

I placed my order a few minutes ago. I got both MSF and Mighty Aphrodite Blush and also Marquise'd Lipstick. I skipped out on Amazon Princess, it looked too much like Band of Roses from In the Groove. I havent been keeping up with the Mac Collections so I was surprised to see this online.

I admit that I usually fight colors like Heroine because when I first started dabbling in makeup every MUA was pushing browns, bronze and nudes on me because I'm a brown girl. I grew to detest it and detest even asking for an opinion. Every time I said "what's that red over there" I'd get a look of shock on someone's face. Ok, maybe some brown girls you see are afraid of color, but not this one. Don't think we're all afraid or just don't like it. I would wear rainbow colored lipstick if they made it! :cheer:

I hit checkout... HerGreyness, Shontay, Elegant... This is all your fault... I did at least have the sense to remove any of the quads before I processed my order... Although somehow, Noir Plum just fell into my cart. Now how the heck does that happen?

this is so true! i've been pushed all of MAC's neutrals and almost never walk out with any of it but something they didn't try to show me! but i have to admit i'm getting heroine because i'll be able to wear it at work. we turned all conservative all of a sudden.

Actually, I think that brown/ bronze colours would look sort of "meh" on you. You wear bright colours so well and dark colours would look wonderful on you. It's funny, because when I go to a makeup counter, I always have people trying to foist pastels or nude pinks on me. Then I demand to try on the darkest colour and when I do, everyone turns around and says "WOW". Seriously. Happened to me just the other day.

Screw what people think should work on you. Go with what you love, I say. I think bright colours are gorgeous on you.

I am panicking that the blushes are going to get sold out! But I really hate to buy without swatching on my skin, because I'm so fair. And my counter is not launching WW until the 10th. Which is problematic because I am out of town for practicum. I don't want to miss out!

Has anyone seen Mighty Aphrodite IRL? I'm wondering how it compares to Benefit's Coralista, because it looks as though it could be pretty close.

I don't have anything like Amazon Princess, but I'm worried that it would be too dark/vibrant on my (estimating) NW10 -ish skin. Any ideas fellow makeup addicts?
