Actually, I think that brown/ bronze colours would look sort of "meh" on you. You wear bright colours so well and dark colours would look wonderful on you. It's funny, because when I go to a makeup counter, I always have people trying to foist pastels or nude pinks on me. Then I demand to try on the darkest colour and when I do, everyone turns around and says "WOW". Seriously. Happened to me just the other day.
Screw what people think should work on you. Go with what you love, I say. I think bright colours are gorgeous on you.

[/quote] Thanks, Katred. I guess MUA's have preconceived notions about every skin color. We can't be boxed in like that. I'm funny with my colors because I like drama, but certain shades or undertones, I feel make my skin look dull. It's all about the finish.

I don't know why but seeing it all up online has totally sent me into a blind panic! For some reason, my little brain is convinced that when I go to the pre-launch tomorrow everything will be gone, despite the fact that I'm in the earliest time slot and the store's quantity obviously has nothing to do with online quantities. Oh dear....too much Specktra for me tonight...

the MA blush will fit right in line with my current stash of blushes I have in this color fam. Gina, Gilda, BoA, and now Mighty Aphrodite. I am happy about that.good going darlin.. you will enjoy itripe peach does come to mind.. but it's a bit stronger imo.. more full bodied and NArs Gina/deep throat is also similar.. but not quite...so unless you have all the time to mix.... get it !
I called the pop up store on Saturday, curious to see if they were taking phone orders and the MA said yes. I told her I would call back. I wanted to see what my options were or, "how long I could hold out before I wanted to have the Mighty Aphrodite blush in my hands" The fact that the items are online now and I got free shipping is perfect! The rest I can totally wait on.

I ordered Spitfire, because I love that it has an almost muted darker look to it than most bright lipsticks. I kept shoving all kinds of permanent lipsticks and eyeshadows in my bag, but I forced myself to order only Spitfire. I'd really like to try Hue and Rebel, as well as Electric Eel and Deep Truth, but I suppose they'll always be there. Several Lightfully bright lipglasses kept trying to make their way in my bag too, but I think I can do without, even though they do look lovely! Maybe Temptalia will put up some swatches of them and convince me to buy them I have really got to cut back on spending money though!
I am rather dissapointed that the t-shirt is not online yet, I really wanted to see what it looked like for sure!

Hm... I'd like you to observe the conversations from earlier today. Particularly the ones where Shontay and I were saying we weren't going to buy anything. Then all of a sudden the collection comes on line and it's like
We all lose our minds a bit when we see things on line. If you feel you need to wait to see things in person, do so... Nothing is going to be gone before the pre-launch- They've allocated for the sales they make at these events. Go to the event, enjoy yourself and please... don't take the rest of us that seriously.

I agree with Katred. Don't freak out. I'm still laughing at insisting I wasn't going to buy anything. I swear, at the time I was dead serious! Then it came online and I ran around like a crazy person. I could always wait for it to be in store. I never think there's anything I won't be able to get my hands on, but I love online shopping and I love getting stuff ASAP. That's why we fly into a frenzy.

Man! I am so glad I checked specktra tonight! I would have been SO MAD if I missed out on those blushes b/c of a sneaky early release!!!
So I got: both blushes, athena's kiss l/g & spitfire l/s. Skipped the defiance quad b/c of the crappy reviews & threw in top of the posh instead.
Seems weird to get all that pink for the WW collection.

It just occurred to me that on Thursday, when the collection actually launches in stores, The Great Enabler is going to be offended when he realises I jumped the gun and ordered online... I guess I can still take him along to figure out if the quads are as bad as everyone thinks they are and if any of the lipglasses are worth the trouble it takes to break into the new packaging... He's not a blush fan, so I'll have to figure out for myself if Might Aphrodite is worth grabbing. (Side note- If I tell TGE the name of the blush, he'll realise the name is from a Woody Allen movie and I'll end up taking it home for sure... probably with a back-up.)

OK so there is no reason to go to the pre-launch party tomorrow. Ha! I put my order in online because I was sure about what I wanted and I have no patience and since gas prices are up I'm saving money canceling out a drive to the mall...

There was really no need to order the n/p because I have polishes that are red and blue, but I love the packaging so I got them and I'm sure I will love them. I didn't go for the makeup bag or the mirror after all because I'm on a mission to collecting Toki Doki makeup bags and I already have the Im So Vain Mirror and it's better than the WW one. I also skipped Emancipation because of the flicking paint everywhere factor plus I have so many l/g to get through for the next 5 to 100 years. I'm officially on a l/g no buy this year. I'm glad I'm over and done with this collection. The next collection is Surf Baby. Bring it!!!!

So I went and ordered Amazon Princess even though I think it looks like Band of Roses. I spent about $133.00 on this collection. I would feel bad but I havent bought anything from mac since I went crazy for the In The Groove Collection except one eyeshadow from the Mickey Contractor collection.
