I actually had a matte pressed face powder in lavender - in a white mirrored compact - in the late 1960s. I don't recall the brand, something European, i think. I'm still looking for it. I'm sure it's lurking somewhere. Of course, a lot of powders - face, eye - in the 60s and early 70s were very talc-y / chalk-y, so it might be less exciting now.
When we were performing in LA last spring, i actually made a side trip to the stand-alone MUFE store to buy their Super Matte Loose Powder in 08 Lavender. It's one of my favorite face finishers. It's matte but sheer so it doesn't make me look too dull. But definitely something for pale faces only.
A MAC BP in mauve or lavender with a hint of shimmer would be really lovely... Sigh...
