YAY my package came!!!!

I'm so in love with these products. So far I just have Girl Next Door l/s, Daddy's Little girl l/s and Veronica Blush which is prettier than i thought it would be. I'm N4 (or NC15) and it makes the prettiest light pink blush for me. Now i'm considering getting the flatter me one as well. I do have another package arriving tomorrow and my MAC appointment is on the 7th ahhhhhhhhh

I see you all buying tons of backups for the products you love. I don't really go through lipstick fast enough to 'need' a backup than i thought OMG what if i lost it so NOW i get the whole backup thing!!! So my question is without the exception of loosing a product, how long does it take you to go through an entire lipstick? Normal wear. I am totally considering a backup of DLG because I don't normally like colors like this on me but I LOVEEEEEEEEE this one.

I thought GND would look like 1980's cotton candy lipgloss on me

but it doesn't.

I don't have any legitimate statistics on the life of a single lipstick but my guess would be that real makeup enthusiasts/addicts have a ton of lipsticks and rarely exhaust one. If you love something that much and it's really working for you---by all means BACK IT UP!!!!

My lips looked the same way!!  I looked in the car mirror and did a double take, my lips looked so flaky.  I've actually just recently started looking into exfoliating products for my lips.  I checked out the one Fresh Sugar sells and thank goodness I checked it out in store first because one whiff and I immediately ruled it out!  So the search continues.  What I've done the past few years is just lightly scrub my lips with a damp toothbrush.  Not so hard it irritates them, but just enough to buff out the flakes.  Then I pat them dry and put conditioner on them right away.  Probably not an "official" method, but it's worked pretty well for me over the years.  Until I encountered MAC's Satin lipsticks, that is! Conditioners are another tough thing for me.  I've tried many and I still have a couple left on my list to try.  During the day, I like to use the mineralized balms MAC released with Apres Chic.  They're easy to travel with and feel better on my lips than most other conditioners, which I find too greasy or too waxy.  At home, morning and night, I use the lip conditioner in the tub that MAC suddenly discontinued.  No conditioner I've used has made me 100% satisfied, but those are the best of the bunch I've tried so far, including other Fresh Sugar products, Philosophy, Burt's Bees, Softlips, Estee Lauder, and probably even more that I'm forgetting.  If I find my HG lip conditioner, I'll be sure to let you know! It comes out this March at Sephora.  There's a discussion about it in the "Cosmetics Discussion" section of this site!  I'm going to pass scarlettb's question on to you, erine!  What do you use to exfoliate and condition?

I do use lush sugar lip scrubs to exfoliate and do like the mineralize tinted lip balms from apres chic but I found that for me the best night lip treatment is lanolin. I know people will say hey isn't it supposed to be for sore nipples for breast feading woman. I will say yes but it is a good night therapy. I only use it at night and only when I have really bad lips. But it works for me at least until I find the perfect lip balm

The Nordstrom by me doesn't carry Nars in store, so I popped over to Sephora after work to check out the pressed version (and pick up a few new MFE Aqua Liners) The texture is AMAZING! It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Totally different than MFE HD powder and any other powder I've tried. It's really weird. I tried a little bit under my eyes...and BAM! I was sold!

Came home and ordered it from Nordstrom...I think I'll end up wanting both the loose and pressed in my arsenal, but I thought I'd start with the pressed.

So...I guess you can add me to the newly formed Cult of Nars Light Reflecting Powder. I'm totally devoted to our leader: Elegant One!

I agree. I need to finish the ones I have before I buy any more. I mean, the ones that I really hate the feel of I'll just toss, but anything that's "okay" should really get used up before I throw more money into this venture. I never considered lanolin as a night treatment, but hey, I like a little creative thinking in the beauty department!

So I got my RR today in the mail yay and put it on. Then I told husband I was thinking of DLG and he went strait to google to see what it would look like. He clicked on images and he said I don't know and I said no no you can't go by her lips thats Temptalia and she is darker than I am {he clicks on picture preview and gives me a look} I say see click that one it is allura and he clicks on it and then says okay you spend way too much time doing this if you can tell the difference between people by a shot of their lips

That's really very funny, but you can ID T's lips at-a-glance, probably because of the 100s of swatches that she does.
