MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

I definitely want the Bright Betty lippie now. I went from not feeling this collection at all to ''OMG, I NEED that lippie in my life!!!

I never buy a lot of lipsticks, and I think this will be my perfect spring lippe, like VG Nicki was this year. (in fact, they look quite similar, no?)

So I'm interested in:
both blushes (probably getting Cream Soda and skipping the other one)
Bright Betty and the blue pink Betty lippie (I want to get only one, though)
both Pearlmattes (I want to be good and skip them to save money, but it will be hard. I'll probably end up getting one

)

That's it for me. I don't think there will be anything else I want. Maybe if there's a super pretty and unique nail polish, but I doubt it.

I saw the Vera pearlmattes and they look like blushes. Are pearlmattes typically like that? Or something different? Do they really serve as a mattifying product? Cause I have dry skin on my cheeks. Sorry for the noob questions and TIA.

Ok so we know bettys lipsticks are Girl next door (blue-pink) Bright Betty (satin coral color?) Sweet something (a bronzy brown color) Now i want to know all 3 veronicAs. We only know Ronnie red Daddys little girl

It reminds me a bit of Funbathing which I have and which looks odd on me

There are some lovely looking things in this collection, but I have to say, I really don't care for the packaging. I've never heard of this comic before and it looks very dated and childish. Oh well, it's not going to stop me from buying things though.

I remember reading the Archie comics with my older sister when I was little So aside from the pretty colors, the packaging reminds me of my childhood lol. I want to surprise my sister with a few things

Bright Betty looks a lot like Force of Love to me, too; maybe just a little softer. I think there's going to be a color similar to the Betty light blue pink in the Mineralize lipstick collection - I'm waiting for that one. In fact, all the Betty lipsticks look cute on first glance, but then seem like things I've got plenty of already on closer examination.

That hot fuchsia Veronica lipstick made me do a double take, but then even for that one, I've got Night Blooming and Petals & Peacocks….I might still fall for it, though. I'm not a Pearlmatte person, either, so I still may come out of this collection pretty clean.

Funbathing didn't work too well on me either - I gave it to my mother and she wears it all the time, if she wears any lipstick, which makes me happy. It looks good on her and she's 81 years young!

Finally some pigments! Bout time. We haven't had some good ones since tartan tale. If it's not a perm color I'll def be snatching it up fo sho! I'm a sucker for a pretty green.

Wow, these lippies are killing me! I'm glad you all shared those newer pics. I was going to go spend my Macy's gift card on something else today, but I'm going to save it for this collection! I definitely want Betty Bright, Girl Next Door and probably Daddy's Little Girl. I also think I want one of the Pearlmattes.

My wallet is already crying. I normally only buy lipsticks and blushes. But I'm considering the quads, both of them, and the pigments.... I need to go on a no buy until this collection comes out.
