I like to combine the dark lips and dark eyes. I like to break conventions and ...to boldly go where no one has gone before

i really dont understand when people say you cant do dark lips with dark eyes. ill understand if they don't do it because of preference but ive heard a lot that it 'doesnt look right' when people do that or pairing certain colors together. i feel like if done right and tasteful it can be done. not mentioning any names but a youtuber said one of their pet peeves is when they see someone with blue eyeshadow and red lips... umm ive seen this done before and it looked fine to me so for her to say that people who do that look stupid is retarded.

I was wearing DLG in all black clothes today and damn... why does that look good! Just a simply eyeliner (can't really do a cat eye because of the hooded eyelids I was born with!), mascara and DLG and BAM, good to go! Wondering if I need to get Embrace Me when it finally releases here... They seem pretty familiar, Embrace Me is just more of a matte, as far as I've seen!

Totally agree !!!! They're arent any set in stone rules when it comes to makeup... it just has to be executed right !!!!!

Rules I live to break: Must have neutral lip with Smokey eye Emphasize "only" one feature on yr face "Never" wear blue eyeshadow "Never" match your eye shadow to your outfit Don't wear glitter if you are over forty

If you got Embrace me Lip Liner compare it with that? As I assume the lipstick will be the same as the liner if not similar. Here's a picture of Embrace Me liner and DLG. I haven't lined my lips or anything so it was a quick swatch hence why they look so uneven ha but on me they both look different. DLG is more of a purple where as Embrace me is more of a bright pink.

Top is DLG and Embrace Me is bottom. Ignore the dry lips and not lining them to look perfect ha.

These look great on you!! And also, on the subject of makeup rules, I think Francois says it best, "Don't be so serious, it's only makeup." Or something along those lines. I rocked a bold eye with a bold lip the other night and I was so excited because I felt like I truly pulled it off. I guess if others didn't agree, I was having too much fun to care, but it's my face and I'll break the rules by putting what I want on it (as long as I feel comfortable with it).
